Lindsey's vocals with it was heaven but I am not sure the piano part was not pre-recorded and it definitely was not at a grand piano. I sense Chris never wanted to do the song without Lindsey which is why when he left it was not performed. But for the Dance? They had background vocalists then. It could have worked.
Does video of the 1984 Hold Me exist? Link please!!

It's actually less. They edited NTF. It's shorter.

Are you trying to turn me into a believer, by proving to me that there IS a god?

Her solo tour was not professionally visually recorded (except for the Country Club) so video of it would be unlikely. But there are countless bootlegs around. I think her Jackson NJ show may have been professionally recorded (audio) because I have the bootleg on CD and it sounds great.
But here is Houston. Check it out at the 1:00:00 Hold Me starts. All real grand piano playing from start to end.

That NTF (original Mirage video) is our favorite when I'm enjoying a Merlot with my bf on friday nights.

Well, John sucking in Lindsey's pot fumes certainly is entertaining, but...

I've told this story 5000 times here, but the only way my friends would watch Mirage in high school, was if I fast forwarded through NTF. They HATED the screaming.

And that's probably my least favorite song on Tusk(okay, after Storms and Beautiful Child). I've never understood Lindsey's obsession with it.

It's a horrible song. (studio wise)

The best part of NTF in concert (1982) is not Lindsey and John and not even Mick. Its Chris's honky tonk piano stuff she added to the song. How wonderful. There is no piano in the studio version but she improvised this incredible honky tonk playing along with the guys. Her clapping before leaving is so cool now before she runs to join them again shortly.

I was never a fan of the live version but I do dig the studio version of Not That Funny on TUSK!

Even though it's been ignored, the Rumours tribute band last night was really good.

About the cruising. UNLIMITED booze for a guy who loves to drink like Christine, maybe isn't the best idea in the world. (Don't you dare call them!)
