As promised, here's a pic of our kitty, Socks.



He looks really lazy, but he's not. He spends his days birdhunting and tomcatting, and generally making a mess of the garage. His mother was a stray who adopted our yard when she was pregnant - she (and the rest of the litter) moved on, but Socks liked us I guess. He's been around ever since, nearly 4 years now.

And yes, once he was a few months old and we saw he had no intentions of leaving, we *tried* to invite him in the house (slowly, with bribes of lunch meat and catnip toys). But he wanted no part of it. He'd rather chase birds and lizards, and spend his afternoons lounging around the goldfish pond or stretched out on the bridge across it.
