FM Sound Tech Question
Hi everyone. I have noticed that on this tour, there has been a plexiglass shield on John's side of Mick's drumset. Any ideas why? Is it to protect John's hearing? Or is it to keep John's bass stack from rattling the drums? Or something completely different?
Thanks, Emily |

If John is...
using an IEM (In Ear Monitor) system, The single piece of plexiglass on the side of the Mick's drumset/riser where John bass rig is located, will reduce the sound volume of the drums so he (John) can hear himself through the IEM (If he uses an old fashioned floor monitor it would still do the same thing by reducing the drums volume so his bass monitor can cut through the drums sound).

That makes perfect sense. Thank you, and good night.
