Trust me. Sugar Daddy had a beat, and a damned good one. I'll never understand the hate SD gets. I love that damned song. It makes every greatest hits cd I've EVER made.

Warm Ways is a beautiful song.
Stevie should have had more songs on the White Album
I am not crazy about Blue Letter.
That quote made me lose all respect for you as a Moderator, and you just started. IMHO a Mod should remain neutral to all group members despite their own personal opinions. That quote shows half the fan base they will not be able to count on you to defend them in a silly internet argument.

food for thought: as a LB fan, i've seen some great mods who made sure to be balanced. but i've also seen some who can't help themselves not to be and are clearly showing their preferences and misgivings toward either board members or band members. i've seen some of them working hard not to though.

just because John is upfront in what he thinks, doesn't mean he won't be balanced as a mod, but it also depends on which board you are moderating: if you are Stevie board mod, i think it makes all the sense that you prefer her. if you are Lindsey or Chris board mod, it makes sense you prefer them.

just my 0.02.

1. It's "unpopular opinion" and I'm playing along and I didn't attack anyone personally. I read so many other comments about the BuckVie album and the bitterness annoys me.
2. I'll defend anyone that gets attacked personally you can be sure of that.

As for your respect, I can't control that, nor will it stop me from giving my opinion. If I find something annoying, I'm still entitled to write it. And if that annoys you, you can express it as well. I won't lose respect for you, just disagree.

I also find New England Pats fans annoying, too. Well, today anyway.

While the rest you wrote is right, actually the boards moderators rule aren't linked to their personal preferences, but they just reflect the needs and traffic areas of the board, for example when I joined there was need for another moderator to screen the Chit Chat Board and I've been contacted for that.

I used to be afraid to read chit chat. It was eye popping. Don't know how you did it.

so you don't have a preference for chit-chatting?

i am still curious how this works but i do have a problem if someone who clearly dislikes Stevie is moderating her board, or if someone who clearly prefers Stevie to Chris is moderating Chris' board.

Rumours board and chit-chat especially would be exception to that rule. although someone who'd rather have Stevie solo than Fleetwood Mac is clearly not appropriate mod for Rumours board - but can create a lot of traffic there, same as someone like me who clearly prefers Lindsey solo over FM version with Stevie.

Chit Chat used to be exciting, when we had free reign to post about "taboo" topics. I rarely venture there any more. I pretty much just stay in the Rumours forum now...

Actually in real life I am a pretty quiet and introvert person that abhors small talk and I always go to great lenghts to avoid engaging in meaningless chit-chatting with my acquaintances and neighbors, like waiting they've crossed the street before stepping out.
Howeverone thing is to interact on the board and another is moderating, one doesn't exclude the other. If someone breaks the forum rules it doesn't make any difference in which of the boards this happens. To critique band members is legit, personally insulting members of the forum isn't.

I can honestly say that if a Christine fan attacked a Stevie fan in a way that was disparaging or threatening, I'd have no problem stepping in.

My bias as a fan is an obsession that I find fun. But, being a human being is something we all should practice.

Elle, we disagree on so much Lindsey stuff, and I find you annoying when you blast Trouble. Don't taze me bro...

Politics and religion is like an A-Bomb.. where FMac stuff is a fire cracker.

That's my point of view...

I love Think About Me, Hold Me, Sugar Daddy, etc too. I appreciate the upbeat songs just as much as the slow moody ones you mentioned. I have my cake and I'm eating it too, damnit!
