iPod top 25 / play count

Does anyone know how to refresh the play count on iTunes? My top 25 list seems to be the same as it was many months ago … there is a way to refresh it but I don’t see the option.

Select the song, right click (or ctrl + click) and a pop up menu appears and there is a reset option.
If you select all songs or selected songs, it will do all of them.

Hmmm, that made the count go back to zero - that's not what I want ... I want to know exactly how many times a song has been played.

Sorry...I misunderstood when you said you wanted the play count to refresh, I assumed reset.
There is a way to clear your iTunes cache, but I don't know exactly what it's gonna do...so proceed with caution.

Actaully, I "figured it out" .... it updates automatically ... I guess I've played the same top 10 over and over LOL. I see the #'s change after I play it - I just never noticed it before .... thanks

Yeah, that's what it should do. Glad there was never really a problem. You can add the Play Count column to your library as well, if you haven't already done so, then you can sort by that column, which shows all your tracks by play count rather than clicking the Top 25 script.
