Was Under The Skin released on vinyl?

You can order a Crosley replica record player from Ebay. It doesn't like you skipping ahead on tracks as it stops when I do it, but it's an okay record player. It's new, so it should last a while. I've had mine two years with no problems, except that I can't skip ahead or it will auto-shutoff.

on the 750 mark...

I'm somewhere in the 9,000-10,000 disc mark myself (Which includes the bootlegs/CDR/Official releases I own, I dont count the discs I inherited from my Mom and her huge vinyl collection nor my huge cassette collection) - and for the record I HATE digi-packs since they FUBAR my organization of the racks my discs hang in.

I know BestBuy.com has the vinyl. Not sure if the stores will get it...

I will avoid the vinyl edition, and purchase the regular disc (I hate digipacks - some do not fit correctly in my wall storage and I have to store 'em elsewhere)

Yay for jewelcases!
Digipaks, those plastic trays that come surrounded by cardboard, aren't that bad. they don't scratch the CD.

But Warner Bros. now markets the ecopak, a full cardboard cover, under the name digipak, too. And that packaging is really crap bacause the CD sits it a slit in the cardboard and gets scratches every time you take it out or put it in. I can't stack these with my other CDs, so I use my scanner and printer to design my own jewelcase. I last did that for Ry Cooder's "I Flathead", but refused to buy Sheryl Crow's "Detours" and the last Counting Crows album because of that and because they weren't as much of my liking as the Cooder record.
Warner Bros, please drop the cardboard covers and go for the Super Jewel Case instead. That is much more stable than the standard jewelcase even!

I wish they'd go back to jewel cases too. I believe they are just trying to save some green, instead of being green.

but you can order felt-lined cd sleeves that fit perfectly inside ecopacks, thus ending possible scratches to your disc (I also make CDR copies of ANY official release I purchase and play the CDR copy and leave the regular disc in the package to lessen any damage that could occur).

Ecopacks arent a great idea IMHO, Ozzy Osbourne released the "Black Rain" disc in one, and it did not contain ANY lyrics/liner-notes/artwork whatsoever, the EXCUSE was to save the public money on the release by "helping the environment" by reducing the paper usage for the said release - if one wanted the liner-notes/etc. they could download 'em off his website.

About 3 months after the initial release of the "Black Rain" album, It was released a second time in a regular jewel-case format, and about 6 months after that is was re-released yet again in a 2 disc jewel case...Only GREEN thing about that release was how to make a STUPID public purchase multiple copies of the same release, so the only thoughts of GREEN were how to make more of it from fans who bought all 3 copies!

That's a lot of discs!

And on the multi-disc releases, you're right..... green is green ($).
