How dare anyone speak ill of Love In Store. OMG I LOVE that song. It is sort of Everly Bros and doo wap. Those amazing harmonies when Stevie had an amazing voice. Its so damn peppy too. The lyrics are so honest and make me blush. It transformed into a killer live too. I can never understand why they never considered it for a quick encore with On with the show. It features all of them singing and is so upbeat.
Its a great album opener IMHO but Straight Back is better. I cant fight it anymore But I will fight each one of you individually if I have to

When I was going over the track list, it reoccurred to me that Stevie got the shaft on this album. I can understand why though. Bella Donna was on top of the charts cranking out huge hits. While Lindsey got 5 songs, Christine only 4, Stevie had only 3. Stevie's songs are sort of hidden within the album and not leading off any side. Stevie offered up some fantastic songs and its a shame only 3 of them made the album. But I get it, they were already fighting the "Stevie is the lead singer" stigma, but the limelight of Bella Donna definitely had an impact on tracking and number of songs IMHO. I think if a song is good, it should make the album no matter who the writer is. Although you must keep some order in the band. Its also the "tradition" within the band that Stevie only gets 3 songs. When they are so crappy like on Tango, I vote to uphold that legacy. But if good songs are on the table, let them live on an album. We could have gotten Sleeping Angel or Smile at you among others on this album.

I agree a bit more of who has written the best songs balanced out with equal running time is a good approach. Also, they could choose to switch up the vocalists, I recall a Christine interview where she made that suggestion. How about a Christine vocal on If You Were My Love, Lindsey on Love In Store, Stevie on Can't Go Back (recall the Wild Heart Dressing Room, so makes sense for her to sing it). Almost 40 years too late, but hey, there's no shortage of ideas with this band.
