Default Possible Album Title? (Spoiler maybe)

I read this on another list, thought i'd share...

I don't know if this has already been reported or discussed, but I was driving around town yesterday afternoon listening to the radio (Z93 Classic Rock) in Atlanta. They played a little 15-second promo of "Tusk" and they said something like "you'll never guess what's coming" (don't know what that meant really). Anyway, they then played Gold Dust Woman in its entirety, and afterward, the DJ came on and started talking about FM touring next year, blah, blah, blah, the same stuff that has been reported for the past few months, but then she said that the name of FM's new studio album is "Jumping At Shadows". I hadn't heard that before. I had heard that it may be titled Gift of Screws from Lindsey's solo work or that Stevie had suggested the title "Infatuation" but they hadn't picked a title yet. Anyway, I'm not sure where the station got their info - or if it is even correct, but just thought I'd throw it out there and see if anyone had heard anything confirming or to the contrary.

Question

Well, I suppose anything's possible but I'd be very surprised if they used "Jumping at shadows" as the title as I would imagine they would think it could cause confusion with a couple of older FM releases that bear the same name which include Peter Green era Mac stuff. Unless the DJ got this year's JAS comp mixed up with the new album...

Sounds very uummm.....Fleetwood Mac to me. However I am going to have to go with WETCAMELFOOD( what's that about? It always cracks me up!) it could get confused with some older stuff.

That would be very weird to call it "Jumping at Shadows," as John said, because of its association with Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac.

Some people think it would be weird to call it "Gift of Screws" because of that title's association with an aborted solo project. But what do you think "Tango in the Night" was?

Exactly!! We've got to remember that John & Jane Q Public have no clue what "Gift Of Screws" is, it's history, etc, etc. So, if a majority of Lindsey's songs are, to us, retreads from an aborted solo album, as well as the album title, it's just our own snobbery slapping us in the face if we're upset by it. To 90% of the Fleetwood Mac buying public, it's all "new".

I gotta agree with ChiliD & David, I bet the new FM album will be called "Gift of screws" (IF ANY of the proposed titles so far).

Oh, Nicole118 - "Wet camel food" is an anagram for "Fleetwood Mac" (I saw it on VH1 a few years ago when they used to run the "Hold me" video on "Pop up video").

That is the first thing i thought when i read that....i was like...WHY does that sound familiar?? Then i realized it was an old song title... hopefully this DJ is just an idiot or something...I mean it is a cool title...but it is already used...it'd be like Stevie releasing an album called Stand Back, lol.

GOS it is. Oh, BTW, John-I love that name now! How original. Unfortunantly, I will not be rolling on the floor every time I read it now ! I guess I shouldn't ask if I want things to keep their mystery . No, really, I'm glad I did & great name!

well, I don't know about anyone else, but I really hope it is not called Gift Of Screws....I really don't like that name, and cannot figure out for the life of me what it means.....I guess it would be normal for a Lindsey album, but for a FM album?? Random....

"Jumping At Shadows" sounds cool, BUT what is the point of having THREE Fleetwood Mac albums with the same name??? There is a 2002 FM album and a 1985 FM album (both a collection of PG songs) with the same name, and of course there is the PG song itself....

"Twist Of Fate" is my favourite of all the suggested/rumoured titles....it's so appropriate, and it just sounds damn cool!

I like Gift Of Screws... of all the bunch that's been mentioned before.

Full Circle, I liked that one too.

And of course Just One McVie Now (We Shot The Piano Player), suggested by our ChiliD.
