Default Fleetwood Mac Singles

I was wondering if anyone can tell me what singles FM had on the alums Behind The Mask and Time. I checked this website by they only list Skies The Limit. I also found a negative review from all music guide that lists Behind The Mask as another single.

From 'Behind The Mask,' they released "Save Me," "Skies The Limit," and "Hard Feelings," in the US... and in Europe, they released the first two, and "In The Back Of My Mind."

For 'Time,' the only single was "I Do."
It was commercially available elsewhere, but not here in the states.

No wonder Time didn't sell well.

I keep forgetting that Love Shines wasn't on Behind the Mask, and I don't know why. Also, and obviously it's not true and I was pipe dreaming, but I thought Affairs of the Heart was a single. I can remember hearing it on the radio when I was younger...or at least I heard it at SOME point because it was the only song I knew from Behind the Mask when I got it. Oh well...

Well, it's no wonder you thought "Affairs Of The Heart" was a single, Sorcerer... our local radio stations here in the Pittsburgh area played it a LOT, and completely ignored "Skies The Limit" (which was the actual second single from the album).
I did eventually hear "Skies" on the radio though... on a light rock station, five years after it was originally released.

I always thought The Mac made a big mistake by releasing "Skies The Limit" as the second single. Sure, "Save Me" wasn't a *huge* hit (it just barely cracked the Top 40), but it did give a nice preview of what the rest of the album sounded like. And, it too got a lot of airplay in our area.
I think it would have been better had they officially released "Affairs Of The Heart," which was "pop" enough to play on Top 40 radio stations, but had a really great rock edge to it.
"Skies" seemed a bit too fluffy.

They then truly ruined any hope the album had of a resurgence in sales, when they released "Hard Feelings" as the third and final single.

I also remember that "Love Is Dangerous" was played on many rock stations and there was also a promo CD single of it available as well, with just a plain white back cover in a jewel case...it was never available as a commercial single, either, but "Hard Feelings" was. I also would have to agree that "Affairs" would have made a great second single and they should have saved "Skies" for the third.

I went to Red Rocks-living in Colo. at the time- to see F.Mac at the concert where they filmed the Skies the Limit video...and the buzz on the radio and at the concert was that filming was being done for the video of the next single. EVERYONE at the concert thought it was for Love is Dangerous as that is what was getting played on the radio all the time-I never heard Affairs of the Heart on the radio once. We were all surprised.
Save Me seemed a strange choice for the first single to me-Skies the Limit -although fluff-sounded more like it could be a radio hit to me.
And (furthermore) I hate it when they have 2 singles in a row by the same person ..Silver Springs AND Landslide from the Dance (especially that they were 2 old songs when there were great NEW songs) or Save Me AND Skies the Limit from BTM. Seems almost insulting to the other singers to not have one of their songs as the next single!

I Think that Skies should have been the first single but I think thae songs they chose as singles were good. I would have liked to see Love is Dangerous, In The Back of My Mind and The Second Time as singles.
