I have a terabyte one myself. They're not that difficult. Just like a memory pen really. Plug it in, format it and then store your files on it. They're accessible then through the "My Computer" window when your harddrive is plugged in, then.

That's what scares me. Even though I'm fairly computer literate, I sometimes get intimidated by technology, that I'm gonna fukc something up. I have very little patience, for learning....

Oh I tried that but nothing came up. I checked the instructions and it said something about plugging it into my router and checking my network drives - WTF?

Eh? That's wierd. All I had to do was plug it into a socket, then plug the usb into my computer.

If you can't resolve something through private messaging, then it probably can't be resolved. Why is it so difficult to just LET IT GO. Whatever "it" is, how important can the argument really be?

As an aside, we generally do not get involved when we get a complaint about a PM.

I still contend, that we need a "like" button, here...

I'll NEVER understand why people want to engage those that they don't like.....?

Move on, be HAPPY, and find love in this world.

Life is beautiful.

I recently got one at Best Buy, it's a seagate, I forget the exact model, and it was on sale for a little over $100 and is 2 TB. It's "cheap" money for peace of mind. I am so relieved to finally have my files backed up after about a year of not doing so. Lucky duck I didn't lose anything!

I don't like the software that comes with the drive, though. It's a memory hog and it sucks. I am using Norton to back up my files once a week and it is working well. The backup is encrypted. I'm fairly good with these things so feel free to PM me Homie if you need any help. I struggled with a few backup aps and Norton was the best. Since it is already my antivirus software that was a plus!

Yeah I had to resign as mod here because I wanted the place to be peaceful but you can't force peace! I felt I was no longer effective because it was affecting me so much. Peacekeeper taaaake your time...

Yeah, I know. I wouldn't want to be a mod. Of course there are a couple of people that bug me, but I just don't want to waste any time, being all negative and sh*t. Life.is.too.short. Move on, and find the good things!

Speaking of good things, I think it's time for a glass of wine by the pool, and to eliminate some tan lines.

JTIS.

THANKS SO MUCH. $100-ish is definitely in my price looking range! And 2TB is 10 times what the drive is on here, so that should last me a while! My credit card rolls on the 17th...I'll go get one then. I so look forward to getting this machine upgraded to W7!
