Yes to everything.
The vocals were re-recorded and new backing vocals were added.

all 'live " albums have been fixed in the studio i think Areosmith's live bootleg may have only been slightly tweeked but left with a raw recorded feel

There's a bootleg floating around of Sara from the Tusk tour in St. Louis. The initial recording for the Live album was done this night but then taken into the studio and Stevie's vocals redone. The bootleg is very raw with no effects on her voice but it's an amazing performance. And if it sounds a bit familiar it's the one that was also filmed for the Tusk documentary and presented in an edited form.

The thing I love about comparing the video and the bootleg audio is that at one point she saunters over to Lindsey's mic and sings "All I ever wanted was to know......" but you can only hear it as a ghostly echo because the mic wasn't on for the audience it was only going through the stage monitors and the echo of that is what the cameras caught. But in the bootleg you can hear it clearly.

Betcha never thought the infamous video and the live album version were the same performance, huh?

No I knew it, in fact I specified it both in my bootlegs thread and in the old thread about the original songs of the live album.
Unfortunately not many were convinced by this fact so thanks for your agreeing opinion.
Also thanks for pointing out about the ending, it was the main point that didn't convince people they weren't the same version, now I understand why. I thought it was just a fading effect added for the documentary.

Because of her pacing and phrasing (saying the word "in" twice), Stevie sounds like she is saying drownding or drownded.

Just a reminder that Sara should always be played live with a piano.
No keyboards or electric pianos.
Great version but I still prefer the Live album version.

No, it was a big thing in the 60's and 70's to drop the "g" off of words ending in "ing", so when she says "drowning" she's pronouncing it at "drowning", however she tends to say drowning wrong. She says it with a "d" after the "w", which is actually a huge misconception. People say "drownding" quote often but it is actually incorrect.

Stevie has trouble pronouncing certain words. "Drowning" is one of them and "mirror" is another.
