Thank you for that long posting Sisternightroad. Some fascinating stuff. I just love the RAL demos. The upbeat demo for I sing for the things is so much better than the album version. RAL had huge potential. Some songs like running through the garden and thousand days should have made the album. I take Stevie as an extremely serious song writer. That is why I cant stomach some of the cheap and easy synth pop hits from this album.
As I mentioned in an earlier post on another thread...... I always thought Don't come around here No more had a Stevie sounding backing vocal. Damn am I good. It was Sharon all along
I just could not imagine Stevie singing bad English like that though LOL

You're welcome!
Check the original page I linked if you haven't yet done it because there are all the outtakes.

Stupid question- for the Reconsider Me on Enchanted, is that just a polished up version of the original, or was it re-recorded?

My ideal re-issue would include:

*LP, RAL - remastered, HQ vinyl with the original inserts (and corrected lyrics)
*CD, RAL - remastered
*CD, RAL - alternate versions & mixes, including the b-sides and remixes
*CD, RAL - Demos and outtakes (*)
*Photo book, with tons of Herbie shots and other RAL-era photos, in full color
*Small, 8x10 or 10x12 frameable litho of one of the album shoot outtakes.

(*)Depending on the quality and quantity of demos and outtakes, an additional CD may be necessary!
yes, all those wonderful demos from that time period. A RAL reissue could be massive...and I would spend major bucks for it.

Does anyone think maybe that a release of RAL with outtakes, etc. will ever happen? A lot of other artists who are basically veterans in the music industry have released remastered and expanded editions of their albums already. 🤔
