Happily taken...
I guess I'll dream of conversations that might have been.

And I'm totally jealous of all who attended this show.

A little off topic, but they're also releasing one of Chris Isaak's
SoundStage concerts in HD. January I believe.

Default Memories

From my post over six years ago:

At the taping, a couple of memories:
Lindsey complaining that his new shoes were too tight.
When the show started off with Someone's Gotta Change Your Mind, I knew it was going to be special.
Fans calling out for Holiday Road and Neale Heywood playing a few chords and sharing a laugh with Lindsey (apparently, Neale suggested that it be in the set, but obviously it did not make the cut).
Someone yelled out Miranda and Lindsey stated he has never played that song before (obviously he meant Live).
After a short break, Brett Tuggle was nowhere to be found. Showed up a few minutes later complaining about the chili he had earlier in the day.
Hearing Murrow live was great, as was the scaled back version of Trouble was magnificent (the best version I've ever heard). These versions were so fresh, it was like I had never heard them before.
Down on Rodeo was a pleasant surprise. I think he omitted the "can you hear me Annie" from the live version.
Lindsey probably could have played longer, but wanted to be with his wife (winking and saying "if you know what I mean") before she flew back to California.
Gosh, I hope they put this show on DVD, including the audience requests of Save Me a Place and Bleed to Love Her.

Iamnotafraid, no I'm even moreso in person. So I am told.
I hope those two songs are included on the Blue Ray edition. Why shouldn't it be the entire performance?

everything that's on DVD is on blu-ray edition. including SYHA and IAW.

the only difference i can see so far is that during the setup / listing BL plays in the background, not GYOW like on DVD.

Groovy! How's the picture quality?

Also... does it list on the back of the cover what Region it is?

It does not list Regions on the packaging, anywhere that I can see.

Blu-ray.com has reviewed it and lists these specs:

Video
Video codec: MPEG-4 AVC
Video resolution: 1080i
Aspect ratio: 1.78:1
Original aspect ratio: 1.78:1

Audio
English: DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1
English: LPCM 2.0

Subtitles
None

Discs
25GB Blu-ray Disc
Single disc (1 BD)

Playback
Region A (B, C untested)

See the full review (and screen captures) here.

thanks Richard! Good to know... I'll have to pick it up and just play it on the PS3 if it's only Region 1

I ordered this dvd off of amazon.com. When I got the dvd, it had picture but no sound. I reported it to amazon.com,and they sent me a replacement dvd. The replacement also did not have any sound. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm seriously considering ordering it from overstock.com. Is the dvd available in stores? If so, what stores carry it? Thanks.

Hmm...seems odd that 2 discs in a row would have that problem. Have you ever had that trouble with your blu-ray player before?

My Blu ray disc seemed fine except for a portion of
Never Going Back Again. Sounded a bit odd in
the left channel. Maybe Stevie brought a gremlin with
her.

I'm really glad they released this on Blu ray. And I think
I've found out why they didn't include I Am Waiting in
the original airing of the show, and why you have to search
for it and Steal Your Heart Away in the menu. One
word... Sweat. Lindsey looks like he just got out of
a sauna, and it really shows up on Blu ray. He needs an
Elvis scarf.

And back to sound issues. Lindsey's surround mix on his
solo DVD/Blu rays seems to be lacking. Especially the center
channel. Someone who's in such control over his music would
seem to care a little more about the final mix on these concerts.
He wasn't listed as the surround mix engineer, but wouldn't they
want his input? And if he did give his okay to this mix, someone
needs to teach him what the center channel is used for. I forget
the exact name of the engineer... seems like it was Crappola.
PBS claims that their surround mixes are as entertaining as the
artist themselves. I don't think so, at least not on this disc.
