My trip to Amsterdam is booked for early june.

No tips for Amsterdam but I'm heading up to Edinburgh again on Thursday!

Make use of the public transport which is great. You can buy strips of tickets or 3 day passes which are good for the trams and the buses. Take a trip on the canals. Visit the museums - I went to the Van Gogh which was great but I think the Heineken one is supposed to be good too.

Try a walk around the flower market and if you must the Red Light district.

Amsterdam is a very laid back city so take time to sit in a side walk cafe and watch the world go by.

Be careful when you're out walking the bicycles think they have right of way - whether they have or not!

There are lots of out of town trips to take as well. I went to The Hague which is just about an hour away by train. I think the bulb fields will be over by the time you go - I went in June and they were over then.

English is widely spoken so you wont have any problems there.

I don´t think i´ll visit Van gogh museum,his paintings are ok,nothing special.
Will go see Rembrant´s paintings though,don´t recall the name of the museum right now,do have it somewhere.

So,it seems cyclists are similar to ones in Copenhagen,
there they don´t run over pedestrians,but do put their lives on the line with cars.

Are the cyclists like that all around the world?
Maybe i should reconsider buying one myself?
