Default Dreams - Wild Heart Tour

My favorite "Dreams" chorus of all Stevie solo time is the one from St. Paul MN (July 15, 1983). But there's another one that's excellent too -- from Philadelphia PA (June 27, 1983).

Please listen to both of them and tell me which you prefer. I have included only the final chorus from each performance because those are the bits that thrill me and chill me.

Listen to Stevie really wail it out. It's beautiful Wild-Hearted Joy.

Both good. But I like Philly better...a little more wailing.

I've always liked that Philly show. Isn't that the one where she said she and Waddy drove to the show because their ears were hurting from flying?

I had never heard these before -- they both sound great!
I'd say Philly though because, like nailatixela said, a little more wailing.

She sounds like she has a cold - though it is likely safe to assume her nasal passages were VERY clear

Not my fav. era for vocals, but I do love the energy and the attempt as opposed to today's rote nature of both.

I like MN better, Philly is a close 2nd though and the sound quality is great.

Thrills and chills... Hellyeah David!! Both are good but I definately like the Philadephia one better. Like others love those wails. It's sad but the f'd up Stevie is the one I first heard and fell in love with. Glad she's still alive, clean- sober now and I still love her but god I miss those days!!!

My vote goes to St Paul, but they're both great. Thanks for sharing David.

Here's an excellent treatment for earwax:
