Default Another song at the end of You Do Or You Don't??

Hi! I've been listening to OOTC recently (of course, something common on me haha) and I noticed that Lindsey sings something (murmures? don't know if it's the correct word) at the very end of You Do Or You Don't. I also noted that this little fragment belongs to another older song, which is instrumental and uses to sound on some videos I've seen recently, specially on Instagram. I even heard it on a documentary about Ferrari.
Do you know which song is it?
Thank you so much!

Default Theme from a Summer Place

“You Do or You Don’t” was inspired by a “Theme from a Summer Place” by Percy Faith. Lindsey hums or vocalizes that song over the end of “You Do or You Don’t.”

Does anybody know the story behind that song? Do the lyrics are related to the movie plot? I remember I've watched that movie long ago, I remember some scenes with Troy Donahue and Sandra Dee, but don't remember the plot at all.

I don’t think the movie has any real link to the song. The music (Max Steiner) was a hit on the hit parade in 1960 in the Percy Faith recording that lbfan mentioned above. Lindsey hums the theme — almost sounds extemporized. It’s all part and parcel of the late 50s music that he heard as a little boy in his house. There’s a lot of looking back to childhood on that album, just as there is on his first album: lush 50s themes, doowop, combo jazz, early folk revival. He’s a very sensitive, very aware musical intelligence who wears his influences on his sleeve and pays homage to his predecessors.

Thank you! Thank you so much!! I listened to it after you answered, and wow, what a pretty song! That "sad?" touch of the 50s and 60s can be felt...

And now that David said, Lindsey was "out of the cradle" so I guess it also was a good moment to show us all the things he was listening while he was still "on the cradle", like this one, or the Kingston Trio...
I think everything has sense once you hear him at the interview/concert of Centerstage! And probably the Words And Music stuff

Excellent! Thank you, as I didn't know a lot of the above.
