Cover Version - The Chain
Hi Guys,
This is my first post. Got tickets for the Birmingham (UK) show in September which I cant wait for! Not sure if this is the right place for a post like this, but I'm in a band called Jam with RoBina and we recently did a cover of the almighty song "The Chain". It was meant to be a homage to Fleetwood Mac, because all us the guys in the band absolutely love them. Anyway, if you're on this forum then you're obviously a fan of the band so hence why I thought it might be nice to share our take on such a classic track. Here's the link, hope you guys like it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPxW1uVatPA Mark |

Omg I might be in love...
Excellent job, never quite heard a cover like that before. I'm pretty picky when it comes to covers of The Chain because they are usually pretty sucky but I will give this one a 8.5/10 (Most get a mere 2.6/10) |

Wow! Thank you for your kind words.
To score an 8.5 / 10 on a FM forum is ace. We were somewhat apprehensive about releasing this for obvious reasons but to here such positive feedback is amazing. Thank you TerraRhiannon! Mark |

Excerpt from a Meagan Duffy Review. Metroland 6/26/2013
http://metroland.net/2013/06/26/chain-keep-us-together/ Fast forward to their tour kick-off show at Valentine’s last week. After they encore with a bracing version of “The Chain” by Fleetwood Mac, those words seem an apt description of the territory the band are mining live and on Nameless Lust. Duffy howls the line, “If you don’t love me now, you will never love me again,” with all the daggers that Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks fire at one another on the original, after which Duffy and Dutra shred Buckingham’s one-note guitar solo anew, with Cox howling, “Chain, keep us together,” in harmony with Dutra and Francois. Surrounded by the rhythm section, Duffy shuffles her feet and rocks forward on her toes, in control of her instrument but also possessed of spirit. They feel through the notes, emoting from a place of sincerity, drawing the growing crowd in their swell. |
