I always like to think I have pretty eclectic taste in music, but making a list of my long-time favourites, it's pretty clear that I gravitate towards the straight-up women-singer-songwriter genre.
Top 10 (no order): Happy Rhodes Kate Bush Stevie Nicks Patty Griffin Anais Mitchell Jann Arden Dolly Parton Hannah Fury Peter Gabriel (Yay! A man!) Marianne Faithfull |

And to add: Billy Joel Elton John Heart Paul McCartney Steve Miller Band Led Zeppelin The Rolling Stones The occasional contemporary country artist: Like Bryan Blake Shelton Jason Aldean Eric Church Jake Owen I listen to a heck of a lot of music, but these are the ones I know the best. Of course I listen to some of the Cars, Genesis, the Clash, Eric Clapton, Eagles.. As well as indie bands and pop artists but at a limited playlist. |

Well, I like the song they made for the Olympic Games. It was one of the best songs of 2012!!!! Then I heard other songs, but I'm still "learning" more about them!

I listen to a lot of different music and have what you might call "omnivorous taste". Lately I've been digging these artists:
*Rickie Lee Jones *Al Jarreau *Tim Berne *Michael McDonald *Phil Collins *Heart *Gloria Estefan *Diana Ross *Linda Ronstadt *Ultravox *Jeffrey Osborne *Carl Anderson *Angela Bofill *The Cars *Brenda Russell *Oleta Adams *The Cure *Hall & Oates *Kenny Loggins |

Sorry. The lead singer's voice makes me wanna bash my head against a brick wall.

I enjoy Muse. Though I'm not really familiar with much of their work except for Black Holes and Revelations. Love that album. But yes, I do hear a lot that it seems they've lost some of their creative spark, which is a shame. I'll have to pick up some of their other albums, soon. |

Tegan and Sara! Yes! I just listened to a wonderful interview with them on it. Really brilliant women, both. I love their latest album, but The Con is still a firm favourite, for me.

Agreed with Tegan and Sara. Although I do prefer their older stuff next to Heartthrob.
I mainly like mostly everything with the exceptions of heavy metal and most contemporary country with my two favorite genres being classic rock and Korean/Japanese pop/Hip-Hop music. |
