I would think anyone would "get" that this thread is
more about making fun of myself than actually about
killing snakes. I'm not a hunter, and have never cared
for it. I stopped hunting over 30 years ago, with the
exception of snakes in the yard or around ponds. I'll
admit to enjoying shooting, or liking guns. But that's
about it.

All I ask is for people to read the titles or comments I
make - and to just think. Now it's guitar playing time!
I got it

I just don't agree with killing animals, that's all. Even in self defence. There are ways and means of protecting yourself without ending an animals life. That's all I'm getting at.

And SilverSprings,
I know you love animals and I respect you for it.
But there are times when animals have to be killed,
or put down. Living on a farm you get a different
perspective than most do on animals. I could give
you situations where some animals had to be taken
care of
, but that would just make you and some
others sad. And I'd rather people laugh at the things
that go on in my life than to bring them down.

I never liked it. I always thought it was stupid. But it has a Buckingham Nicks connection: when the suits told BN to start playing hits on the steakhouse circuit, it was suggested that they perform this song and other big AM hits.

I appreciate you saying that.

And David I don't believe for one moment
that you didn't like that song.

And speaking of dead animals, what about the old
song Dead Skunk In The Middle Of The Road?

I'm a huge Loudon Wainwright III fan.

They didn't perform it. It was only suggested to them that they do but Lindsey wouldn't hear of it.

Another day, another snake. But this time
is was by accident. While mowing the lawn
today I ran over something. Thought it might
be a pine cone or something like that by the
noise the mower made. I stopped and looked
back to see a big ole' snake all chopped up.

Since you guys have made me feel guilty about
the killings, I thought I'd use the snake in a
positive way. So I picked up the chopped pieces
and made nail soup with them. Mmm mmm good.
