Met Mick Today in NYC

...and will be seeing the band tomorrow night in NJ.

Unfortunately, I only have this one picture. He was nice, but the staff at Barnes and Noble were kinda jerky and really huffy-puffy if you tried to do anything but get your autograph and get out. I really hate that. I understand having to move the line but you know...

Still great to meet a musical influence.

Oh - by the way, the signing was for the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band CD. You had to buy one to get a place on the line and he would only sign the cover. I had printed out a nice glossy 8x10 but no dice, though the people before me were somehow allowed to have small photos signed.

I personally think that's lame. If you do something for one, do it for all. The CD is good in any case, though! Lots of old Greeny stuff on it plus some Rick Vito tunes - all blues and pretty good.

Congratulations on meeting him and great picture. English gentleman Mick is definitely more my cup of tea now than he was in his younger days

That's very cool. I would love the chance to meet him, even if it was just to shake his hand.

Hi - yes there was a pretty big line. I was about 15 people in from the front so I had good placement and after a while couldn't tell how many were behind me. They sort of direct you right out when you're done.

Mick was patient because my camera didn't work the first time. The lady taking the shot seemed kind of clueless. Then I dropped it! At this point the staff started getting all pissed off and talking out loud to anyone in range about how they have to keep the line moving to make sure everyone gets a chance, yadda yadda...

She took one more for me and I just crossed my fingers. It came out awful and dark so I photoshopped what you see here. She got mostly ceiling. I'm amazed people still can't just point and click but hey, it was salvaged.

Funny thing - I found out later that the reason it didn't take the first time was because it was in video mode so I actually have a little 3 second video of myself and Mick that looks like what you see there basically. Heh.

Anyhow - the CD is cool, Mick is great as usual, and the show will be great tomorrow, no doubt.

Awesome!!! I'm hoping there is one of these in the San Jose area when the tour comes through in May. I have my "Blue Again" CD enroute from Amazon UK since it has more songs on it and would love the meet him.

He doesn't know it, but he taught me to play the drums!!!! (Used all my FM cd's and my headphones to learn years ago!!) Would love to be able to meet him and tell him that!!
