Default The Last Jedi

***SPOILERS***

Went to see The Last Jedi today.
Not sure how to feel. Overall I thought it was a better film than The Force Awakens. However, I am left feeling a bit annoyed. Too many characters introduced in The Force Awakens are poorly used in this new film (Maz Kanata hardly appears at all and would probably have benefited from not appearing at all). Also, I don't feel as if its he middle film of a trilogy- too much of the main focus of the film should have either been used as the first film to set up a new trilogy or it should have sewn things up as the last film in a trilogy. I'm not sure where the saga goes from here in the last film in the set of three.

I really liked the movie but I can understand why people wouldn’t. I thought Luke got a crappy ending.

I agree with that. But, I did like the movie and actually like this trilogy, I think these movies can't keep the same style of old first trilogy (Ep. IV-VI). These are different times, different audience.

And I like this trilogy far more than the Episodes I-III (however I liked a lot the duel & Anakin's end and his turning to Vader, the best moment of all 3 movies.

But I still don't forgive them for killing Han Solo, my hero from the 80s. About Luke's end, it could have been better but I'm actually not upset about it.

I wouldn't have said this in the 80's, but I'm glad they killed off Han Solo.
Harrison Ford seemed to be tired of playing the role after listening to many
interviews over the years. He almost played the character as a joke. Also
who didn't see that "death" coming from a mile away once he took to the
bridge.

Luke's part could have been played so much better. What a horrible way
to write him out of the movie. That too was a joke. Of course he will be
back as the ghostly Luke.

Rey is one of the few characters that's interesting now. But why did they
give her that cheesy line (something like), why is your shirt off?

They need to end this thing right!
