I've watched some of those videos about vinyl being made.
I have many of the Jack White records. The only thing I
hate is his choice of record pressing plants. If you look in
the dead wax area and see a circled U that's a bad sign.
United Records - I loathe them.
I see.Travel to everything.
Thanks for the tips on United.Too bad your D.K. album replacement is bad.Did United press Stevie's IYD and 24K vinyls. I'm to lazy to look.LOL

I don't think IYD has been released on vinyl has it?

I'll check on the 24K.

I just checked. United did not press the vinyl.
At least not my copy.

Generally I could care less about the color of the vinyl, just the quality of it, but it seems to be a big selling point with a lot of people today.

Still waiting on that Gene Clark set, I guess the pressing plants are more backlogged than planned for.

I do love colored vinyl. Obviously - the quality of sound is key, but if there is a colored version to choose, I'll always choose it over the black. I suppose it's just for the novelty of it.

Wow .You got your work cut out for you.I need new sleeves here.
Thanks for checking.I doubt much if she used different pressing plants for the album.

I love colored vinyl too.I would love to see Stevie's BD and Wildheart albums in purple. As long the sound quality does not suffer.

So - consider this - vinyl is clear. It has to be colored black. Thus there is no difference between black records and purple records, as far as the sound quality is concerned, based strictly on the vinyl. The only variances in quality will come in the process of mastering or pressing.

No problem. I wasn't familiar with the symbol I found in
the dead wax area. I guess I'm slipping. I suppose I could
Google it.

I got some reds and yellows and maybe green in the mass vinyl collection that I got from my neighbor down the street.

I do have some picture disks here somewhere.

I only have one picture disc. Elvis of course.

Jack White's "Vault" (TMR) does the color vinyl with
most every release. Only problem is that it's pressed
from UNITED! But from what I understand he's opening
up his own pressing plant in Detroit. I anxiously await.

Wow again.Elvis.The picture disc I know I have is a Disney one from the big vinyl dump that my neighbor drop off over here .I know there is more somewhere here.Yes I love music .Old music that is.

Tonight at the Goodwill I picked up two 4 album sets of classic country music collections from the early 1970's.Great shape and a great price of $1.99 per set.

Yeah, there's lots of Elvis at my house.

On those Country Sets do they have any Marty Robbins?
He's one of my favorites too.

Did anyone here preorder the Bella Donna or Wild Heart vinyl remasters? If so, I'd love to hear if there's anything notable about them once they arrive.
