Default My 2018 movies.

My first movie of 2018 is....

1. Black Panther - I would give this movie a B-. I've seen a lot better action in other Marvel movies and a lot more of it. The special effects were disappointing (very fake Rhinos...) The plot followed a formula. The accents got on my nerves. It's totally overrated but not really bad. It's just not really that good. It's decent but I wouldn't pay to see it again.

What I liked about it...
A. I thought the female characters were very good. I especially liked his sister.
B. There is Warcraft vibe to it. Technology mixed with ancient customs and artifacts. Huts on the side of cliffs. Tribal.
C. It was a bit soulful. I liked how he contacted the Ancients.
D. The lead actor does a good job.

Paddington 2.
Its a kids film... but a really brilliant kids film. The first Paddington movie was great and often sequels are a let down so my hopes weren't too high. The sequel was really great though.

a nice story
a great cast of British actors
brilliant CGI

My daughter absolutely loved this film.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.
