I was a teenager in the 70's most of my friends were into rock or country rock music and thought FM was very cool, especially when the "White Album" came out. Once Rumours went into the stratoshere commercially, the coolness went away. FM became way too commerical for many of them. Tusk on the other hand was considered "too weird" (Lindsey's stuff) for most people I knew. During the late 80's and throughout the 90's, most people I knew didn't dislike FM...they just didn't see them as rele vant.

"Bandon"...hee hee...an old girlfriend of mine used to call me that (my name is Brandon).

Too bad the coolness went away with Rumours...since its such a great album. I think because of the exposure on it, it was just too much. I remember my dad telling me he never bought Rumours on vinyl because you could turn on the radio at any moment and hear a Rumours song. He did however, own the "white" album and Tusk.

I find it odd that my mum was 15 in 1973. She had never even heard of Stevie Nicks till three years ago when my MIL gave me "Rumours" and I went mental! Was she asleep?! Even now shes says, "Do you not get sick of THAT WOMANS voice?!"

How she doesnt like FM, well its beyond me!
