Who hooked you first...
...Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey or Stevie? (I'm sure this question has been asked before)
For me, it was Fleetwood Mac in 1987. "Big Love" grabbed my attention and then it was full steam ahead! Next was Lindsey's solo work, then Stevie...whose solo albums I had a hard time getting into at first, but now cannot live without! Second part of my question: How long were you a fan before you saw FM/Lindsey/Stevie live? I became a fan in April of '87 and saw them in October of that year during the "Shake the Cage" tour with Billy and Rick. (no comment -- other than "no Lindsey, no fun"!) Cheers! Carlene

I was 12 when TITN came out, just about to become a "hair-band" fan (oh, when I think of the time I wasted )
Anyway, I remember Little Lies first, I really liked it. Then I heard 7 Wonders & WOW - it blew me away, I loved it! Hated Big Love, though, especially the video with Stevie flapping her skirt furiously & that strange woman grunting with Lindsey! But the FIRST time I remember anything of any of them, I was 8: Stevie - Stand Back! What a classic from the start of MTV (that's probably why I remember it so clearly - I watched MTV all the time when they used to actually play videos) My first video memories are Stevie, Prince "Little Red Corvette" & Pat Benetar "Love is a Battlefield" Paula |

I was in someone's car in 1981 when Stop Draggin' came on. I thought "who is this chic?" She didn't sound like Stevie of Fleetwood Mac. The next year I was living in Vail, CO and we didn't get tv unless we had cable. MTV came with it. Gypsy and Sara were constant staples. I had this cassete player with one tape in it. It was Mirage. My favoirite song was That's Alright. I first saw Stevie on the Wild Heart Tour here in Denver in, what '83? Joe Walsh opened for her and the next day, according to her Timespace booklet was the day they took that infamous drive to the drinking fountain and she wrote Has Anyone Ever Written. It was a great show.

Oops, forgot part 2 of the question, I was getting lost in my memories...
As I said, I got into other music for a while. When The Dance came out, that was it. I was hooked. I saw my first Mac show in 1997 & never looked back. First Stevie show in 2001. Went to three shows for SYW in 2003. Loving every minute of it. Paula |

The Mac did from as long as I can remember (my Dad named me Steph after you know who). However, my first memories of their songs - Leather & Lace (Stevie solo I know). Then I remember Gypsy & Hold Me. I wasnt old enough to know what being a true die-hard-raging fan is though... so that credit goes to Tango for me.

The first tape I ever bought was in junior high and it was TITN. I loved "Seven Wonders". I became hooked (again) when I saw the BTM for the Mac. Back then, I was so clueless, I didn't even realize that it was the same band from my junior high days! After BTM, I went out and bought Rumours, and have been hooked ever since!!

Back in 1982, when I was 11 years old, I saw the Hold Me video on MTV. Lindsey was the man!!!!! I fell in love with his blue eyes and watched the Mirage concert so many times over the next three years whenever MTV would broadcast it I would have it on!

1977...
It was I DONT WANT TO KNOW. I heard it on a FM station in Philly around the time they released Go Your Own Way in early '77. I knew of Fleetwood Mac but when I herad that song, the harmony, the guitars,I was hooked. I bought Rumours,Fleetwood Mac,Buckingham Nicks, Walter Egan stuff, all the older Mac albums and anything any of them were involved in. I have been hooked ever since. That's why I love Say You Will so much its the what caught my ear in the first place.

LINDSEY!
THE MAN himself...got me hooked!! I heard Holiday Road and DATUSA in the movie National Lampoons Vacation, I was watching the movie during a dark time in my life (needed to laugh) and BAM, I went "WHO IS THAT SINGING?!" The rest is history...I got OOTC and GI, then the 1988 GH CD, then, Tango and Mirage after that....the others. LOL
My life HAS NOT been the same since.

First Christine being on the radio constantly got me hooked (Say You Love Me, You Make Lovin Fun, Don't Stop).
Then it was Stevie (Sara, Rhiannon) Then finally it was Lindsey (Production of Sara). In fact, the thing that got me from beinga big fan to one who actually found the Ledge etc was going to an old Warner Bros. Fleetwood Mac site that advertised The Dance CD and had a repeating clip of the intro to The Dance's Big Love. The Dance was then the second FM album I bought (after GH 88), and the first with my own money. So like others here, Big Love did it for me too!
