Who else *doesn't* like Stevie Nicks' songs?

The only thing that gets me with Edge is the discontinuity. I feel like I'm listening to 4 different narratives in one song. I mean the song is epic don't get me wrong, but lyrically it seems really chopped up to me. I'm guessing the song as a whole came from several different written sources and then sewed together as is often the case with Stevie. That said, I think the lyrics (standing on their own) are amazing. It's good stuff it's just that the narrative doesn't really cohere into one long, tight song for me. I mean where are the smooth transitions from verse to verse?! Where's the red thread running throughout? That said, I still love this song. It rocks and that's enough for me.

I did grow up in a trailer park by the cemetary in a small town in Idaho...lord knows those things aren't well insulated...this could be why I had a better understanding of "The Wizard of Oz" years ahead my classmates...
