Cable TV Changes

Hi All.I just got a notice from my cable tv last week.Calling all Ledgie techies. The notice was for a Digital Migration From Comcast.which meams all the analog tv's and VCR's will need a cable box called a DTA "Digital Tranport Adapter" to receive all the cable channels.including the local ABC.CBS.NBC stationsComcast is my provider.Which send me two little boxes about a size of a cigerette pack for free rental.If you have a old tv or vcr hooked directly to the cable.you will need the little box to view tv.Personally I think its bullsheet because most of my equipment is direct fed from the wall.That means I need about a 7 of more of these little boxes.I did called Comcast to get some more info.but no prevail with their tech support people.At this point I did contact AT&T uverse and had a chat for 45 minutes with a nice guy named neil.I might go that route because I like what he said about the DVR setup they have.You can record 4 shows at once.I will get two dvr boxes from them and that should make up for the loss of using my 8 vcrs.God for bid if I miss a Stevie appearance coming up while she's on the road in August.Ok sorry about the long read.
I'm just wondering if any of you getting switched to all digital cable.
