You caught me in my Blue Lamp shawl when I was channeling my inner Stevie. I reserve the right to change a word or lyric or two. It is indifferent but I said different. In Stevie world, it means the same thing. Most important, would you ever say that to Bob Dylan?

I forgot to put Not Make Believe at the top of my own list, though. It is probably the biggest clunker ever.

I forgot to add "I Don't Care", for it's juvenile and uninteresting lyrics. Great music, horrible song.

I know she was trying to say something profound and meaningful, but it’s just a lot of rambling. It also does nothing for me musically. It’s just kind of there, and I really don’t like her voice on it. I gave it two or three listens and realized it was never going to connect.

It is one of those reveries like Sorcerer or Nightbird, not meant to make much linear sense. I love its dark drama and can almost see the burning towers and the chaos and fear of 9/11 in it. To each his own, I guess.

I consider Smile At You on SYW darker than Illume. |

Smile at You is epic on SYW. But I see Illume as epic too, it is probably my fave on the album, was on repeat for months, hooked me instantly.

We're supposed to be naming Mac songs. If we were including non-Mac, you better believe I would put Cheaper Than Free in there. It's just horrible. The lyrics are juvenile, but I can't call them uninteresting, because they're so bad you want to swerve off the road and into a tree.
