The whole band 'Oooing' individually at the end of Over & Over.

And Lindsey on RTTG and Not Make Believe.

Oh and Stevie on Miranda. I know some people don't like her on this song but for me it was the perfect complement to this edgy tune.

Thumbs up Best backgrounds...

Definitely Stevie and Lindsey in Walter Egan's Magnet And Steel. The ooohs and aaahs are the best part of the song IMO, and add a sexy quality.

Also LOVE S&L on:
-The Dance version of Everywhere.
-Any and all live and Studio versions of Over My Head whether Stevie goes really high or really low.
-Love In Store
-Little Lies (both of them just MAKE that song!)
-Think About Me

C&L on:
-Rhiannon
-Dreams
-Hold Me
-Gold Dust Woman
-Save Me A Place (maybe it's just Linds overdubbed?)
-Walk A Thin Line (ditto)

S&C on:
-The Chain
-The Ledge
-Blue Letter

Lindsey On:
-Long Distance Winner (that soft harmony is so gorgeous and complex)
-Smile At You (SYW version)
-Running Through The Garden
-Thrown Down
-Everybody Finds Out

Stevie on:
-Miranda

Chris on:
-Shadow Of The West (I know, it's from a solo album, but she really adds so much to it)

-Sonia

Silver Springs (The Dance Version)

Song that got me into the Mac, to me, the PERFECT song. Vocals, music, harmony, and everything.

Their harmonies together on Love In Store are just fantastic. They're what makes the song for me. I also love the songs that Chris and Lindsey duet on, like Hold Me, Think About Me, and Don't Stopt. Their voices sound great together.

Arrow SYHA -

It's the Christine 'Oooh' that does it for me.

I tend to like those often overlooked lead vocals that Christine made for Stevie... I like the passionate way she sings on "Straight Back" and also the way she adds herself to the live versions of "Rhiannon".

Stevie is a great harmonist by herself. I love the way she does both low and high harmonies with Tom Petty on "The Appartment Song"; on Fleetwood Mac I would name "Never Forget", "Over And Over", the live "Isn't It Midnight", the live "Go Your Own Way" ('packin' up, shackin' up...) and... yes, "Steal Your Heart Away", too.

Lindsey did fantastic jobs singing Christine's tunes, or backup singing on them, like in "Don't Stop" or "Think About Me" or "Hold Me" (great harmonies there!!), but he shines most singing with Stevie, as in "I Don't Want To Know", "That's Alright" or "Everybody Finds Out".

Christine was sort of a pioneer in harmonies in this band... I think they hadn't done much harmony work before "Station Man", where she shines with her high vocal (correct me if I'm wrong). Then she added those harmonize-with-myself parts on songs like "Believe Me" or "Why" (always helped by Bob Welch anyway)

The harmony vocals were, in the first place, the reason why I liked this band.

Song of the moment - You Make Loving Fun

The best are on Straight Back and Beautiful Child; they give me goosebumps. The members of FM know how to do good back-up vocals, unlike Stevie and her solo girls...

Mustn't we forget Lindsey's haunting and sexy (and cool too)-sounding vocals on "Isn't It Midnight"?Chris makes the song pretty, and Lindsey makes it sound dark with the hoarse "the face of a pretty girl...".~Haunting! .
and I also love fleetwood mac's harmonies on “never forget” and “steal your heart away”

You don't like Stevie's girls' backup skills? I think Sharon and Lori provide awesome backups. However, I think it is fair to say that no ones voice "blends" better with Stevie's (and Christine's too) than Lindsey Buckingham's. I think we can all agree with Keith Olsen that those two voices were meant to sing together.

Oh lord, I can't stand them. They make some of the songs unlistenable at times.

Totally.

Also, I love Sharona and Loretta. I think their voices blend well with Stevie's, I especially like the "call and answer" technique of songs like "Nightbird," EO17, and to a certain extent "If Anyone Falls."
