After that Rolling Stone interview with Lindsey dropped, all I could think was--he needs to sue them.

Lawsuits like this are not necessarily about the money per se--in a large part it's psychological things like getting the public record straight and getting closure, and since suing mostly involves a lot of time and giving half the money to the lawyers, settlement is usually a sufficient substitute for closure.

The petty Lindsey-haters are salivating all over this news because they see it as an opportunity to paint him or his family as going for the money. Very clearly, any cash he may or may not derive from this gambit would be entirely secondary to the primary results of public vindication or closure.

Very clearly, too, he is fighting against the machine aspect of the band here rather than its members per se.

He needed to take more credit on what he did for Christine's and Stevie's songs. I'd like to take a time wharp back in time and add Stevie to FM wo Lindsey and see how many great songs there would have been. I'd bet 14M they wouldn't be raking it in on this current tour, if they'd even be around.
