I got this email today from Warner Music which some of you probably received too.

Check attachments below.I had to split the capture up to 3 pix to get the full email.

I love that hat.She looks alittle like Dolly P with the hat in the banner pix.

I just realized that if you go to the WB/Reprise pre-order page and click on the picture of the deluxe photo book, you can zoom in and see some of the pictures we'll be getting. It's clearly a mockup, and there's a note indicating that the pictures aren't yet finalized, but it still provides a good preview!

SO excited for the double LP and deluxe CD to arrive!

The WB/Reprise website makes clear that the LP will be released on 9/29, with the digital deluxe album delivered "on album release."

Due to the fact that the vinyl version is going to be released a week earlier, won't this mean that the album will debut low on the charts? Or will they find a way of combining the sales of the vinyl with all of the other formats for one large first week sales figure?

Yeah there is. All 16 songs from the Deluxe edition are on there. That's 4 songs per side. Easily done.

well ok yes, it can. I was thinking of the traditional 5-6 songs per side, times 4 sides being 20-24 songs…. didn't occur to me they would put fewer songs per side.

Thanks!!

You can only fit 43 minutes or so on 1 record and there are 16 songs...

You have to remember back when radio was in it's heyday they had these things called 45's so the songs had to be shorter back then which is why you could have more songs on a record...

True. Of course many singles or 45s were edited from longer lp versions especially in to 70s and 80s.

well…….a lot of songs were a lot longer too… see Peter Frampton, the Eagles (Hotel California songs are rather long)… they would often do remixes for 45s

I was thinking that. I wonder how many pre-orders of 24 Karat there were today on iTunes considering the album spent pretty much all day within the top 40 and is still there now. Maybe 1,000? I have no idea but guessing is fun!!!
