Since this sounds like it is indeed a solo record that Stevie is working on with Dave Stewart it's very surprising that Dave is not tweeting information about the project like he did with "IYD"...In fact there seems to be complete secrecy surrounding what is taking place at Blackbird...We know that people Stevie knows have been at Blackbird but they only mention being at the studio or seeing Dave...Dave has been made aware of the fact that Mick "spilled the beans" about Nashville and Stevie and her people must know that it's not a secret that the fans have a basic knowledge of what's taking place so why are they being so secretive???

I don't see how explaining the song would make it more palatable to anyone wanting to take political offense. And it doesn't make it less narcissistic either. In fact, giving it an intro may make it sound like it's more about herself than if she just started singing. Regarding content and context, the words of the song are still what they are, even if Stevie talks about Walter Reed first.

Frankly, I think people read the song ambiguously. To me, I hear condemnation, 'about what is righteous' and a reflection on hypocrisy that kills. For me the "Mmmmm" is a judgment, but I don't think everyone hears that.

I think that people on both sides can feel the song is about what they believe, sans introduction. And those who aren't listening with partisan ears will just think that it's in support of the troops, which both sides can get behind.

Lets hope Dave's tweeting continues...

And someone is on top of things as @StevieNicks re-tweeted Dave's tweet almost at the same time it was posted...

Why would he quote White Rabbit? Maybe they're singing it for fun or Dave's high!
I'm looking for any hint I can get about what's going on in Nashville!

Dave's obviously having a play on words and referencing the large acoustic bass he's playing...

Now that Dave's tweeting about Stevie I asked him if he could post a song sample like he did with "Everybody Loves You"...We'll see what happens...

Great idea! Hope he does.
I totally forgot that I spent last Easter with Stevie until I saw that pic of her with the bunny ears! (It was at the IYD screening in LA) Great memories.

She looks happy & content! Gotta admit, this little pic does makes me salivate for another Stevie solo record! I can't believe 3 years have already flown by since IYD (it does seem like a long time ago.) And probably another year before this project is released (hope I'm wrong) but based on the FM (GH's tour) in the fall, I really can't see a solo album being released before that. I believe Stevie had this planned in 2013 (before Chris came back), as she mentioned in many IYD doc Q&A's in 2012 - that she had already written new songs and had sent them off to Dave. I thrilled to see her back working with Dave and looking so happy & cute!!
