Was Baby Doll recorded for The Wild Heart? It sounds like it could be from around that time - her voice sounds a little more raspy than it did on Bella Donna. I've always loved that song. I haven't listened to One More Tomorrow in a while, but I remember not caring for it.
Were The Dealer & If You Were My Love actually recorded for The Wild Heart? I always assumed the last of The Dealer outtakes were from the Bella Donna sessions, and If You Were My Love was initially intended for Mirage; the next version after that I know about is the Street Angel version. |

How about the 'is it her/isn't it her' All Over You? That would be around the Wild Heart era, I assume, since Prince played on Stand Back.

The fully recorded version of "Baby Doll" is dated 1981 in the Master Reel To Reels, so it's for Bella Donna. Before the Masters, I always thought it was for The Wild Heart, too, or Rock A Little even! (The keyboard/drum machine demos are from 1980).
Stevie wrote "If You Were My Love" in 1980, and even recorded it for Bella Donna, but not a finished version is in the Masters, but pretty close (several 1981 studio versions exist). I think the Mirage version gets put on CDs containing outtakes from The Wild Heart because they are from the same era, more or less, since it was recorded in May 1981 in France, after Bella Donna was completed and about to be released. If you just are interested in Stevie rarities, all of her Mirage outtakes don't quite make up a full CD ~ almost. But when most of the Stevie comp CDs were made in the 1990s, it was to consolidate as much material as possible of Stevie's works in order to share them with friends. Or sell them, as many did back then as well, unfortunately. So things got lumped together. PLUS: Songs trickled out at different times. The Mirage version of "Smile At You" leaked out many years before the Mirage version of "If You Were My Love" surfaced in 1998. No version of "The Dealer" exists from The Wild Heart that I have heard. After Tusk and Bella Donna, Stevie recorded "The Dealer" again for Rock A Little, but no copies of that recording have surfaced (that I know of). Again, things get lumped together on comp CDs, just like "Jimmy Come On Back" mistakenly being on outtakes CDs for The Wild Heart. Last edited by mikebise; 03-20-2011 at 08:49 AM.. |

I always thought "All Over You" was from Rock A Little based on Stevie's voice. she's given several different stories about how many times she's met Prince, when "the last time" she ever saw him, "never saw him again", etc., and been proven wrong. So, I personally doubt those few hours in 1983 doing "Stand Back" is the ONLY time Stevie ever saw or worked with Prince. I could be wrong and it's from 1983, of course. But it is her. |

Stuffit (although craptacular) can be used on the Mac OS. There are other programs that can expand .rar files besides Stuffit, such as The Unarchiver (free too).

I downloaded StuffIt for Mac, and afterwards, opening it, it said StufIt cannot be used with my Mac OS~X. So, dunno.

[Excerpt from Sharon Van Etten article]
Drunk in Love with Sharon Van Etten Longreads Or Whatever By Eric Sundermann, May 22, 2014 Noisy Vice http://noisey.vice.com/blog/sharon-v...erview-profile I’m back from the restroom, and they both smile at me upon my return. Fleetwood Mac plays in the background, and I’m reminded of this old video of Stevie Nicks I’ve watched too many times to count. It’s from the early 80s, her backstage at a Rolling Stone photo shoot. She’s getting her make up done. Her hair’s in a perm. White dress. In a quick moment, a fluttering piano picks up and Stevie acts like she’s playing air guitar, before starting to sing along, repeating the refrain of “Wild Heart,” one of the most vulnerable songs of her career full of very vulnerable songs. “Where is the reason / well don’t blame it on me,” she croons in the only way that Stevie Nicks can, “blame it on my wild heart.” At the end of the video, she laughs, clapping and pointing around the room, completely unaware at how arresting her voice is. She smiles. There’s a captivating feeling surrounding her presence. She’s confident, not arrogant; charming, not pandering; lovely, not precious. |
