I can't stand Landslide.
I'm not a fan of her wardrobe, but she would hate mine

( Granted it was first written about John Lennon and her uncle and I know that meant a lot to her, but have you SEEN the HBO Special? Please. )
# 17, she got sued in 1980 over the lyrics in SARA.

#18, In your opinion, what is the song really about?

Before I knew what it was really about, I always thought Edge of Seventeen was about losing your virginity - the white winged dove and all... he was no more than a baby... I went forth with an age old desire to please... nothing else mattered... etc.

I think she came up with a great sounding line that was about nothing and then tried to attach more importance to the song with a long winded story.

I wish that Stevie goes online and reads the boards.

She probably say .Oh that's how my beloved fans think about me".

Oh Hi Stevie.

I always thought it's about an older woman having an affair with a younger man and recalling her own sexual awakening while younger, and the years that passed since, and generally trying to fill her life up with a passion of some kind.

In my mind that all still makes much more sense than the John Lennon/dead uncle stuff, heheh. Oh well, plenty of poetry and drug-fueled 60's songs are probably really about nothing too.

Eof17 seems to be about teenage romance, as does Beautiful Child, with its "when I was only ten" lyric, maybe the same story from diffent perspectives. Meanwhile, on SYW, we find Destiny Rules and Everybody Finds Out seemingly discussing relationships with a married man.

I think Beautiful Child is about Mick (and those two SYW songs are about Lindsey). But I don't think either she or Mick were 17 when they met.

I hope (and this is going to be unpopular) that they won't do Angel, Sisters, Storms or any of those great old songs. She doesn't have the chops anymore. Every time time I hear Rhiannon I cringe. The guitar solo is gone and so are the great vocals at the end. As sad as it is Rhiannon should be shelved.

I haven't posted in awhile but I so have to jump in on this just to say.......I think Stevie's songs on "Tusk" that everyone thinks are about Lindsey ( Storms, Angel)are actually about Don Henley. Likewise, "The Long Run" is about Stevie as is "Wasted Time" and yes, "Life In The Fast Lane" is about Don and Stevie.

I did not like the way "Storms" worked out on the Unleashed tour. Much too loud and harsh, monotone, totally lost the atmosphere of the original.

The only "unpopular" or unusual opinion I have of Stevie is that I dislike the song "Rock A Little".

well, i appreciate it more now in the context of fabulous, long standing musical brilliance. why are you pulling up my old @#(# for?

and yes, i still prefer her current voice over her 70s voice.
this is an UNpopular opinions thread dear!
though i doubt i'm alone in this opinion. i''m sure i recall someone else in this thread cosigning
