Hey, "Oh Diane" is a good song! Maybe its rythm is very "catchy", and you know, is not an epic song, a work of art, but, is nice! What I really regret is that the definitive version doesn't have the energy of the demo version. Maybe that could change something...

I don't really know, but Hold Me , Think About Me and Angel would be on that list.

I'm just going to go with my initial stream of conscious:
1. Brown Eyes 2. Gold Dust Woman 3. Prove Your Love 4. Hypnotized 5. Why 6. Storms 7. Oh Daddy 8. Hold Me 9. As Long As You Follow 10. Illume I didn't expect Christine to take up the majority of my selections! Or for Lindsey to not be present at all...

1.Dreams
2.Rhiannon 3.Gold Dust Woman 4.Beautiful Child 5.Silver Springs 6.I'm So Afraid 7.Only Over You 8.Sisters of the Moon 9.Go Your Own Way 10.The Chain I feel like my list is somewhat of a greatest hits/most famous list...but I think they're my favorite for the simple fact that these are the songs that made me fall in love with FM. Just as I could listen to Dreams on repeat constantly and it would always be my favorite song of all time- it opened the world of FM to me and for that reason will always hold a special place in my heart. |

1. The Chain
2. Sara 3. Go Your Own Way 4. You Make Loving Fun 5. Gold Dust Woman 6. Think about me 7. Gypsy 8. Hold Me 9. Sentimental Lady 10. In the back of my mind Honorable mention: Winds of change I guess Dreams should have been in my list also, but this is a bit hard especially since lately I'm really into the SYW CD (Thrown Down, Miranda, Steal your Heart Away etc. etc.). Gold Dust Woman (Rumours Original, the ultimate FM Classic Rock Tune)
Man of the World (P. Green) Over and Over (Tusk opener) I'm So Afraid (Original White Album version) Storms (Tusk Version) That's Enough for Me (Tusk Version) Hypnotized (Mystery to Me Version) Woman of a Thousand Years (Future Games) Rhiannon (Live Rosebud Film...never topped this version) Tango in the Night (This song just rocks, highlight of the late 80's Mac) Bubbling Under... Why (Mystery to Me) Sisters of the Moon (Mirage Tour Video, wow) World Turning (White Version, most live versions 75-76) Brown Eyes (Awesome McVie Tusk tune) Oh Well (original Green version) Green Manalishi (Original Green Version) Bare Trees (title track) Songbird (original Rumours track) Silver Springs (original B Side) Sara (Original 6 min track from Tusk) Honourable Mention: Over my Head (first single and all, still a great song) Future Games (nice song) Believe Me (McVie's best pop track, should've been a monster hit in 73) Dreams (I wish I could have rated it higher, classic song, but overplayed compared to rest of the awesome body of work) Go Your Own Way (as above, but guitar work and vocals are stellar on album and early live versions) Walk a Thin Line (wow) One Together (can't forget Jeremy) Gypsy (again should be higher, but the other tracks are better imo) Hold Me (another wonderful song) Miles Away (smoking guitar from Bob Welch, again why not a monster hit from 73).

She's Changing Me (1974) The Derelict (1973) Rhiannon (1975, but I prefer live/demo versions) Steal Your Heart Away (2003) Why (1973) Black Magic Woman (1968/69) Songbird (1977) Welcome To The Room...Sara (1987) Beautiful Child (1979) That's Alright (1982) |

This is HARD!
1. Gypsy 2. Never Going Back Again 3. Gold Dust Woman 4. Tusk 5. You Make Loving Fun 6. Sara 7. Second Hand News 8. Eyes of the World 9. Say You Love Me 10. Running Through the Garden ^ Looking at that list, I'm surprised at how generic it is. I'm always the first one to pull out an obscure track, but I gotta say, the classics always do remain the favorites for me. Ten more I couldn't live without: 11. The Chain 12. I Don't Wanna Know 13. Everywhere 14. Book of Love 15. Bleed to Love Her 16. Storms 17. Not Make Believe 18. Silver Springs 19. Isn't it Midnight 20. Blue Letter |
