Stevie would be as mortified now to see videos from that time as anyone else.

Ditto with the Red Rocks concert. Why the phony close-ups?! It must've been a trend back then.

And there was nothing wrong with her appearance. Yes, she did look bad at some of the previous 'RAL' shows (bloated, racoon-eyes make-up, etc.). But she looked fine at Red Rocks - as in the scene with the doves.

Stevie's ego.

She was (is?) obsessed about how she looked. She scrapped the whole original Stand Back video because she thought she looked too fat. (She rewrote history about that later).

Remember, this is a woman who would stay up all night taking picture after picture of herself. She was the Kim Kardashian of her day, taking selfies all night long. She just had to do it with a Polaroid in those days.
