Wow. I am shocked to hear that anyone values a (repeat) tour of greatest hits over new music from a band that is considered "a favorite" of his/hers. I would take new music ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. ANY day. New albums are like Christmas for fans! If there's no new music to support, repeat tours are just.... whatever?? The same ole same ole, otherwise. Burn a lot of money for 2 hours of the same show you saw a few years back. Give me the new, fresh music please! And THEN tour for it! PRETTY PLEASE? They just seem $$ hungry and greedy touring without an album to support.

It boggles my mind that Stevie flat refuses to record new music. I do know why -- because she has nothing new to contribute creatively -- but it's incredible to me that she is a permanent road block for anything new labeled "Fleetwood Mac" because she's too embarrassed to show that LB and CM are the lasting creative forces and she's not. It would ruin her image. LB is quoted as saying they didn't call BuckVie a FM album out of respect for Stevie and the whole 5 of them as "Fleetwood Mac" (so painfully ironic how she canned him soon after given his respect for the R5). She could have joined them and chose not to because she was completely absorbed in her solo career throughout that time. Ironic that they're trying to point the finger at LB's solo career being the reason he was ousted. Stevie's solo career has interfered far more through the decades.

And as to LB weaving in solo shows between FM dates... that makes total sense to me. Why not if there are nights off between each gig? If he's got the stamina and means, literally, WHY NOT? It's practical and smart!

As for LB recording the songs soon after Stevie's mother died.... I mean, the man is prolific and wrote and recorded a bunch of songs as he's done most of his adult life. I'm sorry her mother died, no one wants that, but how is that offensive of him? He may have even thought it would be a healthy distraction for her to dive into new music (I would think it would be). Also a lot of times, loss/grief can generate a lot of new creative juices; it could have helped her with writers block and created some amazing songs from her pain. Obviously I have no idea what they discussed together, but I cannot see any wrong in him trying to get new music going. In my view, him trying to include Stevie is a sign of respect, not insult or disrespect.

If you're a fan of A BAND, and you're characterizing CREATING MUSIC as some sort of lesser endeavor to a massive arena tour in which they play songs we've all heard on numerous previous tours, how could you ever understand the frustrations of someone who puts that creative process first?

It's not as if Lindsey was demanding the band stop touring altogether and only record new music. He was saying, Let's do what we've always* done and put an album out first, then tour behind it. I personally know I'll never understand why that suddenly became such a burdensome ask from 2005-2018.
