Guitar.com: I figured it was something along those lines. And are you working with Stevie Nicks these days?

W: Well I will be. At this point Stevie is on the road with Fleetwood.

Guitar.com: Yeah, I mean when she's done with that.

W: Oh yeah. We have every intention of getting back on the road and promoting the record we made, that no one has heard yet.

Guitar.com: And you'll be serving as musical director?

W: Sure, yeah. Definitely. I just spoke to her the day before yesterday, and she's looking forward to it very much, as I am. We made a great record and no one has heard it yet.

Guitar.com: Right, you've got to get out there.

W: Yeah. Well just timing-wise, it didn't work out, because Christine coming back into the band (Fleetwood Mac) precluded everything, because as soon as the promoters heard about it, every show was sold out.

Guitar.com: Of course.

W: And now they're out there killin', so it's great. But we'll be back early next year, probably.

I knew it! Good news for the 24KG fans and bad news for her participation in the new Mac album after the tour is over.

Like I said in a previous thread, Christine's return and Stevie's album promotion was just a case of "bad timing".

Perhaps when she gets 24KG out of her system, she will recommit to the band that made her famous in the first place. Although I'm a little miffed that she said she's "tired and needs a break from touring", yet is plotting this solo tour with Waddy for the first of the year.

Part of me is ecstatic to be able to hear some of these 24KG songs live, and on a proper promotional tour...yet I'm also sad that this pushes the new Mac record back at least another two years.

Dollars to Donuts we won't even see the next Mac album til 2017, to coincide with the 40th Anniversary of Rumours...

Good for her, I for one, am glad.
She postponed this to go on The FM Tour (which was the right thing as Christine was back) but now she can get on and promote her own stuff.

I think he means , because she did not get enough time to promote 24K -not enough people got to hear it...
Now she intends to tour and promote her baby...

I think someone needs to raise the subject with Mick at one of the M&G's...
if he knows anything he could start blabbing. Remember when he was asked what Stevie was up to and he spilled the beans about "24K".,
It might go something like this.

Fan. "So FM is taking a few years off after this long tour"
Mick. "I don't think we have any plans for an extended break"
Fan "Well Waddy says Stevie has plans for new solo songs and there will be a solo tour in 2016"

At this point Mick will either act surprised or let the cat out of the bag again...

Mick "We are hopping to get the record finished next year"
Fan "Waddy says they/Stevie are looking forward to getting the as of yet unheard solo record out and touring behind it"
This is where his assistant says he does not have time for any more questions. or he will start crying (like he did back in 2010) about how Stevie won't record with LB and now he does not know if FM will ever put a new record out or ever work again...

I think Waddy is referring to the album that is already out but because they weren't able to promote it most people never heard about it and thus didn't get to hear it. I think we can be certain that Stevie has not recorded another album at this point.

Do I think she has a whole new album "in the can"?...No...Do I think she will record solo before working on the FM record (if she ever does)?..Yes..
It it would be interesting to hear what MF thinks about her touring solo next year and the possibility of her recording more of her songs solo before the FM record is done...

Maybe she'll record some new vault songs and repackage the album. Didn't she talk about doing that in an interview earlier in the year?
