The piano playing has me skinning small animals and throwing the pelts at preschool children. Ghastly.

I remember back in college I got the Fleetwood Mac songbook and was trying to teach myself to play some of their songs (my playing is on par with Stevie's, so yeah I never became a world renowned pianist). And I remember the first time I played Gypsy. I was shocked that a song that sounds to totally different all the way through has the same repeating chord progression the entire time with just the bridge to change things up a bit. It's her incredible singing and storytelling, plus Lindsey's sparkling production and those lush background vocals that make the song really shine. But brought down to it's total raw musical base it's not much. It just shows you how much magic Stevie has that she can take something so simple and make something so incredible out of it.

Watch Stevie Nicks’ Wrenching, Candid Piano Performance of “Blue Water”

By Sharan Shetty

For the first time in a long time, all is well in Fleetwood Mac land. The band is fully reunited for a self-proclaimed “last act,” and they’ll be going on tour and releasing a new album this year. Of course, the reunion would mean little without Stevie Nicks, and Rolling Stone recently paid obeisance to the singer’s sprawling career with a 7,000-word cover story. The magazine also got Nicks to play some songs in a stripped-down setting, just her and a piano, and her moving, meditative performance of “Blue Water” is well worth a watch.

The song is off 24 Karat Gold: Songs from the Vault, Nicks’ most recent solo album. In case there was any doubt, that voice—twangy, full-throated, clear as a bell—is good as ever.

I've been out of the loop for a while, did I miss something regarding anything official about a new album, or is this just hearsay? Thanks...

Blue Water was the other one she did for Rolling Stone, so that's probably why you got them mixed up.

Love this. Love watching her, but that DARN shirt. I want to see something else. She is such a style icon, I keep waiting for something new. Maybe she is bored with fashion. I'm like her. I wear the same thing over and over, but I'm not famous. I still love her.
