It's just so plodding. I understand why she uses the piano to write songs. It is somewhat of an interesting novelty to see her playing an instrument while singing. The issue is that her keyboard skills are barely passable. If she simply focused on what she does best (singing), accompanied by an accomplished piano player, these bare-bones performances would sound infinitely better.
