Default Christine & Todd Sharp

Todd Sharp contributed to Christine's 1984 solo album. He also recorded a solo album of this own 2 years later. Christine returned the favor & added some backing vocals of her own to that album. Those songs & a few more from Todd's album are available for download this week from the Fleetwood Mac Legacy website. Just click on SOTW on the left side of the page to find the download link.

It's kind of a bummer that old musician friends like Sharp & Hawkins don't get to see Christine much -- if at all -- these days. Has Christine been back to the United States since she moved to Kent? Just the once for the radio promotion a few years ago, right? Did she see old friends?

How can you not visit your old friends every few years? Retirement is just the time to do things like that: you have lots of spare time, retirement money & you're not held down by an employment schedule.

Let's not leave out his PRIOR Fleetwood Mac connections! He was in the Bob Welch Band for 5 years (hand-picked by Bob & Mick) and he was in Mick's Visitor band.

All that said, why the hell wasn't he ever considered to be Fleetwood Mac's guitarist in 1987 or 1994? He had the chops, he had the songwriting skills, he has a great personality (read his Q&A)...considering Jeremy Spencer, there obviously isn't a "height requirement".

If I'm not mistaken, I believe George did go out to visit her back when she was doing her solo album, maybe did some of the bass parts there etc.

I hope she did get to catch up w/ some friends when she was here 2 yrs ago for the radio promos. I wonder if her dislike of traveling/flying keeps her from coming over to the US as much as she might like..?

I believe George did his bass parts in California, with Steve Ferrone. He did go back to her home in England to do a little song writing(he did have some writing credits on ITM) & his backing vocals.

I heard that she had gone back to California very briefly several years ago, around the time that that Very Best of Fleetwood Mac compilation was released. Somebody saw her at a Bob Dylan show.

I'm not sure she really wants to spend much time here in the U.S. Her life is in England now. When she did come to New York to do a little promotion for ITM, she mentioned that she was looking foward to going home again. I think she's done traveling.

He was considered in 1987, according to Mick.

She must have some contact with Robbie Patton. He co-wrote "Friend". Isn't he English? He may still live in England.
