I recall in an interview he gave at the time, Lindsey spoke about the concept he had about a "wing" of guitarists, sort of like an army of sound. I saw a show on that tour and it was amazing; nearly overwhelming.

It was an approach exclusive to that tour. It's impressive that Lindsey that came out so bold on his first-ever live solo tour. Perhaps he unconsciously needed the emotional support by the numbers. But that was a limited moment in time. The Out Of The Cradle tour band configuration had a built-in expiration date.

Cradle will always be my favorite LP/cd by him as well. Its a shame he doesn't play more of those songs live too. Sad IMO anyway.

Default Richard Dashut

Does anyone know why Lindsey and Richard Dashut quit working together?

Excerpt from Yahoo Music by Rob O'Connor, October 25, 2012
http://ca.music.yahoo.com/blogs/list...232632270.html

1992, Part 2: Once Upon A Time There Were Records For The Children To Buy…

1992 was a year when most people didn't own a computer. You had one at work. Your phone was in your house and MTV still played videos. In fact, they were playing very different videos from the ones they were playing just a year and a half earlier. "Generation X" was a term that saw actual use -- seriously by aging pundits and ironically by the kids!

Were things better in 1992? I certainly felt better.

8) Lindsey Buckingham -- Out of The Cradle: At a time when grunge and alternative rock was in its ascendency, Lindsey (no, not Parker) Buckingham worked up this solo album having left Fleetwood Mac forever, or in music biz time, for a few years. Tracks such as "Instrumental Introduction To:" and "Spoken Introduction To:" really pepped up an album that was bogged down by so many complete songs.

I've been listening to OOTC a lot lately. Even though I'm in love with his recent work, I can listen to this whole album over and over. I think I've listened to it at least 3 times this week... I can listen him do instrumental pieces all day long. I'd give my first born for him to serenade me if only for a day
