I'd (hypothetically of course *knocks on wood*) like this quite a bit. I adore 'Sorceror', and I'd die for "California Dreamin'" shmuck that I am.

For more Lindsey songs (just in general, not a criticism of the above list) what about "Circles in Time"? Is that the right era? There's just so many more Stevie songs to think of ... "You Won't Forget Me"? "That's Alright"? "Farewell Failure" (though I'm not a huge fan of it but.)?

Oh, for sure. She may have eventually forgotten about it as the decades wore on, but I doubt they ever truly lost it. And if they did, then I doubt it was ever returned to them.. and then lost again, lmao.

They have to play the ENTIRE "Buckingham Nicks" album and "Without You".
But the rest of the songs should not be restricted to pre-75.

It would be great if they included some of their collaborations with other singers from the late 70s, for example "Gold" and "Midnight Wind". Lindsey could easily sing the John Stewart lines.
Another great choice would be "Whenever I Call You Friend".

I would also love them to perform some songs from their early solo albums, for example "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around", "Bella Donna", "Trouble" and "I'll Tell You Now".

And they should definitely perform a medley of "Wild Heart" and "Can't Go Back"!

Some Fleetwood Mac gems would also be great! I would especially love to hear "Tango In The Night", "When I See You Again", "Welcome To The Room... Sara", "Book Of Love", "Straight Back", "Make Me A Mask", "What Makes You Think You're The One", "That's All For Everyone" and "Save Me A Place".

I'd definitely go to a Buckingham Nicks concert if they do tour as a duo, and if I am able to -it would probably mean a holiday to the States for me though (not a bad thing, but at the moment I can't afford it)...Australia doesn't get much LB solo love...so I doubt he and Stevie would tour Australia together (as a duo). I would like to hear this set of songs live (see below).

I know it is very unlikely but I would love to see/hear Stevie's solo version of Rhiannon debuted live in concert in 1981 (extended piano introduction and additional lyrics) - but with Stevie playing grand piano - just the intro. That is, Lindsey exits the stage at the end of the previous song, Steph takes her seat behind the piano, playing and singing the intro, then she stands up (cue applause: "****, she plays piano? Who knew?"), Lindsey comes back on stage and plays the rest of the song on guitar, Stevie singing lead and Lindsey harmonising as usual.

1. I Don't Want to Know
2. Sad Angel
3. Rhiannon
4. Miss Fantasy
5. Crying in the Night
6. Stephanie
7. Without a Leg to Stand on
8. Crystal [Duet]
9. Long Distance Winner
10. Don't Let me Down Again
11. Django
12. Races are Run
13. Lola (My Love)
14. Frozen Love
15. Without You
16. Landslide
17. Twist of Fate
18. Rose Garden
19. Heartbreaker
Encore
20. Twisted
21. Nomad
22. California Dreamin'
Final Encore
23. Space Needle

Reworked to include more of my favourites and some beautiful old gems. 31/7/2013 1538 EST

Only you stipulated this rule ... refer back to the original poster's comments at the beginning of the thread, where he (or she) says he would like to see rare Fleetwood Mac songs written by Stevie/Lindsey played at a Buckingham/Nicks Tour.

Anyway what would they name the tour? Together Forever: 40 Years ...anyone have a better name? And how likely is it that BN will tour again as a duo after all this time ... is there something I missed because I thought it had only been mentioned as a throwaway comment or a hypothetical upon hypotheticals.

This is a great and at 22 songs, it's almost as long as the current FM set list. Proves they have a viable and true BN focused set.

Just call it Buckingham Nicks. They don't need some cutesy name. They might want to throw Anniversary in there.

Stevie & Lindsey have both mentioned the idea of doing either one live show or a small tour as part of promoting the re-release. I definitely don't think it's a throwaway comment. They have been talking it up for a while, re-recorded a BN track and performed it live with FM and talked about BN every night of a successful tour, plus mentioned the track was originally going to be saved for the BN re-release.

Stevie should open solo for 45 mins
Lindsey should appear solo after for 45 mins
The two of them should join together and perform for an hour of BN material

That's a good set list right there...but I think they'd probably start with the set they played in Tuscaloosa in '75 and add & subtract from that.

Lola (My Love)
Monday Morning
I Don't Want to Know
Never Going Back Again (Instrumental)
Races Are Run
Rhiannon
Long Distance Winner
Django / Sorcerer
You Won't Forget Me
Blue Letter
Heartbreaker (Circles in Time)
Don't Let Me Down Again
Frozen Love
Crystal

Possible Adds:
1) remaining songs on the BN album not played in '75:
Stephanie
Without A Leg To Stand On

2) songs that were lying around in various states of completion that were finally finished either with Fleetwood Mac or on solo albums:
Without You
That's Alright (aka "Designs Of Love")
Candlebright (aka "Nomad")
You Could Forget (aka "Garbo")
After The Glitter Fades

3) Landslide (because it has pretty much ALWAYS been performed by just the two of them. Early on, Christine played her electric piano solo as on the FM '75 album, but in recent years it's just been Lindsey & Stevie.)
Never Going Back Again (Lindsey would definitely be singing it instead of playing it instrumentally)

Possible Drops from the Tuscaloosa set:
Heartbreaker (Circle In Time)
You Won't Forget Me

Despite their being more known as Fleetwood Mac songs, I think they'd probably keep "Monday Morning" & "Rhiannon" (and maybe "Landslide" too) in the Buckingham Nicks set, as a "these are the songs that got us into Fleetwood Mac songs". Yes, I know the "Frozen Love" story with Mick & Keith Olsen, yadda, yadda, yadda...but MM & Rhiannon were the songs they were working on in the studio when Mick arrived.

Sounds about right...I can see that. Yep Landslide is a must. Rhiannon and Monday Morning? MM I can take it or leave it but I definitely want Rhiannon - maybe even sing the original lyric "Rhiannon rings like a bell through the night and who will be her master?". But Rhiannon I think should have a piano solo in there somewhere and I would love to see Stevie play this solo...but it will probably not happen.

Okay so they had plenty of songs which weren't on BN that never made it on to Mac albums...hm...maybe releasing the vinyl Buckingham Nicks on CD [and vinyl reissue] could be followed up with the release of all these old songs, maybe just 2 or 3 brand new written especially for Buckingham Nicks II as well? Just maybe.

If there is a Buckingham Nicks 40th Anniversary Tour it will probably be very brief I think we can agree, maybe similar duration to the Mirage Tour?

But lots of old gems, some hits, and personally: they have to do the original vinyl Buckingham Nicks album track by track - sequenced as it is on the record. Then they can add whatever else they like, or just leave it at that. I think they said to Rolling Stone a few months back the BN Tour is a "situation where we would do the whole album".
