They just started showing the Prisoner of Azkaban on TV this week and I really loved it. I thought it was a lot better than the second one!

As a big Harry Potter geek, I would suggest not seeing them. At least not three and four. The books were excellent but the movies strayed way too much for my liking. Michael Gambon as Dumbledore is just cringworthy and oh so very wrong.

I'm really excited about The Deathly Hollows though. I started reading them in 1997 when The Sorcerer's Stone came out. Ten years is long enough to wait for a conclusion.

interesting ... i still would like to see them, just to see them, y'know? i didn't start reading them until 1998 or 1999, but i'd say i've waited long enough too.

is it hallows or hollows?

It's Hallows.

I heard a rumour a few days ago that it was going to be Hollows. I just checked http://www.mugglenet.com though and Hallows it is. I can't freakin' wait!

i have to agree with this. his portrayal of dumbledore in 'goblet of fire' was especially shocking. since when does dumbledore manhandle the students??

so excited for "deathly hallows" (not sure how i feel about the name yet), i hope we don't have to wait until, oh, 2010 for it. that would be so cruel.

If you go to www.jkrowling.com, you can play some pretty cool games. The new one, unlocks the mystery of the book name.

I am a HUGE HUGE Harry Potter geek...LOVE them...and am so excited about book 7...like beside myself excited...

I disagree about the movies though - I think they're also fab - though the third was my least favorite (because that director sucks big bop balls).

I HATE Alfonso Cuaron or whatever (as a director..as a human I don't know the man). But I thank the heavens JK ROwling is alive and able to consult on the movies otherwise the PRisoner of Azkaban movie would have not at all resembled that book - that director sucks that way.

I still think it's the weakest of the Harry Potter movies. The first two stayed pretty good with the books - but by the third one the books get so long that a movie can't possibly get it all in - I think they've done a good job with what they have to work with.

I just re-read Half Blood Prince, cried like a baby...I am so in love with this series...I hope that damn book does come out this summer, but I doubt it will...

haha!

I don't really follow the HP movies enough to notice the art direction or anything. I've only seen them in bits; never watched one all the way through. I used to be into the books when they came out, but lost interest after awhile. Basically after HP mania struck the world, I got sick of seeing it everyyyyyyyywhere, and gave up on it. 'til I saw Alan Rickman as Snape...

Stupid third movie

I was so bitter when that director was announced...the only other movie I'd seen of his was the remake of A Little Princess - but he bastardized that to hell so I knew he'd be up to no good with HP...asshat.

But the books? I adore, I've now read them three times each, except for Half-Blood Prince which I've only read twice...Harry Potter is one time where I'm right there with all the hype...

When HBP was released I was in line at midnight to get my copy...and I'll do the same for BOok7....
