Default Has anyone seen the picture of Mick, Christine, and Stevie with Billy Burnette and

Whitney Houston? It's from the mid 80s at some point.

This is a good picture, it's kinda funny too. When you look at Stevie and Mick and Christine, they all look road worn and strung out. They have a good ten plus years of sex drugs and rock n roll under their belts. Then there's Whitney and Billy who were somewhat new into the music business in the 80s. Those two are all fresh and bright eyed looking.

It's funny when you think of people who seemingly led harsh lives (Keith Richards) who are still jumping around, when their younger colleagues died from too much indulgence. I mean, between Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, I would have bet he'd die first.

But then I think of all the world leaders Fidel Castro has buried and I have to laugh. I never would have dreamed he'd live more than 50 years after JFK and, although physically frail, he still seems mentally cogent -- well, he still seems to be what he always has been mentally.

Not me. I think just the opposite. I always felt it was Whitney who was the harder drug user. And as time proved, Bobby cleaned up his act and has remained clean as far as I am aware, whereas she claimed to be clean but never was clean.I wanted her to be clean and I wanted her to live.

I did not know that about Bobby.I was blaming him .I got to stop reading the rubbish at the cash checkouts and TV tabloid news shows. Thats too bad for Whitney and his daughter.

I always enjoyed Whitney's music and what she did with Dolly's classic country hit "I Will Always Love You".

Prescription drugs are a lot more dangerous than the others, partly because they're underestimated.

It was an industry party for Whitney Houstin in London, sometime in May 1988.

Thanks. She really was great- an odd act to associate FM with though.
I reckon she'd have just about had the edge as far as the divadom levels go.

I think Stevie looks horrible in this picture! That was around the time she was wearing some really garish outfits. Even taking in account this was the late 80's
era, she wasn't at her best. In contrast, Christine is dressed very stylishly. It is somewhat dated, but it was of it's time. Notice that both Whitney and Stevie are wearing cross necklaces. Whitney's is small and tasteful. Stevie's is over-sized and hanging, not so tastefully, very low between her flap sacks.

(I have never ever used the term "flap sacks" before, but it came to me and seemed appropriate.)

As you mentioned it .I did notice the cross on them.I cant see much of Stevie's outfit to make a comment on it as the photo was cropped by the source.Nevermind the shot looks as it was takin of center as they cut off Stevie's right side.I do see the cleavage there. The first photoshop program came out in 1988 and nobody then probably dont know how to use it yet..

Today's standards she would get away with it.

Yes as bombaysaffires mentioned about the top of Stevie's hair looks great but the bottom half looks like she put her finger in a electric light socket.LOL.That was the style then. Its nice to see Mick with a tie plus Chris always look the same dont matter what year the photo was takin,Billy always looks great.Whitney looks so youthful in these photos.
