LOL Stevie and Lindsey performed Station Man all thru the White album Tour and the beginning of the Rumours Tour. You knew that, right?

Sarcasm is becoming a lost art.

I've speculated before that the reason Stevie latched onto "Station Man" as her favorite was precisely because it was one of the few pre-BN era songs she was familiar with, due to the fact they'd performed it in 1975.

But 1975 was a long time ago, and Stevie's memory of performing the song is obviously fuzzy. My point was that she apparently hadn't listened to the song in recent years, or she'd have remembered it wasn't a Christine vocal.

Be as sarcastic as you please, SteveMacD. My point stands.

Regardless, I don’t think any of this has anything to do with why Lindsey was fired.
In retrospect I think that comment in that article was a "trail balloon" LB wanting to play new songs, and the two of them using deep tracks (instead of new songs) as an approach to see if LB would swing in that direction.

Negotiation through the press.

Stevie: Hell no!

Narrative now: "Lindsey selfishly never allowed us to do any material from before his tenure in the band."
This is exactly how $he thinks.
