Right. I wasn't necessarily disagreeing with you. I just thought you and John were talking about two different things: you about interaction within the band (which does run both ways), and John about Ledgie attitudes toward the band members.

Unprompted comment from my 72-year old mom after the Columbus show:

"Wow, Christine McVie was great. I can't believe she's my age. And Lindsey, wow, he was amazing, and pretty darn cute. But why do they have Stevie Nicks in the band? She can't sing!"

And that was pretty much all she talked about on the ride back to Dayton.

I agree.I never seen so much hatred on this board "I know it sound to blunt" about Stevie with this album issue. The RS clips were great and I got to give her credit for doing them.

Critical analysis should not be mistaken for hate.

I'm actually beginning to worry about the state of Stevie's voice. I wonder if it will even hold up for another tour if they ever do release that last album

It all comes down to how Stevie sings a song. For instance, Rolling Stone released a video of Stevie singing Gypsy about a week ago from the same video shoot as this freshly released Blue Water clip. I personally think the Gypsy clip was beautiful- she sang very softly from the back of her throat like she used to back in the 70s, and her tone was gorgeous. It's when she pushes her vocals out from her diaphragm (technically the "correct" way to sing) that her voice sounds strained, thin, nasally, shouty, and off-key. If you look at Stevie's most recent album, 24k Gold, there are examples of how her voice can either still be magnificent (All The Beautiful Worlds) or simply dreadful (Lady). She needs to fire her freaking vocal coach. The techniques he taught her destroy everything that is great about her voice.

The majority debate. It's like the 5 year old child that says, more of my friends like this singer so they are better!!! (sticks tongue out, holding a #1 Britney Spears album)

I actually thought the limited range Stevie handled was well done at the Forum. But being able to out sing her colleagues? Hmmmm, listen to Dreams live.

Unfortunately, it's not all critical analysis......
Some just dislike various members of this band. It's not all aimed at Stevie, you have Lindsey and Mick haters too. You can pick them out easily, because they NEVER have anything objective or positive to add to threads such as this one. Sad, but true.
I've been fortunate to see the Mac once already on this tour and I will see them again in March. If that's the end of it, then so be it. If they record a new album, I will be over the moon. If they don't, I'm still thankful for the music, the memories and the wonderful people that I have connected with all because of this band.

Nothing wrong with Stevie's voice...when I saw them in Houston I thought hers was the strongest and most arena-ready of all three...just my opinion, and you know we all got one
