Well it's John Stewart on Gold and Midnight wind so you don't have to edit again. You might as well toss in Magnet and Steel with Walter Egan.
I didn't realize Ringo had been inducted twice.

If freaking RINGO STARR has been inducted as a solo artist when he has done almost nothing of note in that regard, Stevie Nicks surely deserves to be!

Thumbs up Yes

ITA, thank you,yes with everything you said. I haven't posted in a while, but I've been reading this board. I'm tired of reading the Stevie bashing. She desires to be in the R&R Hall of Fame. I love her solo music. I really believe that she will get it.

Good video Jondalar- you make some compelling cases.
FWIW, on merit I'd put Roxy Music first, followed by Radiohead, The Cure, Def Leppard and then Stevie.
Really ..if Roxy and Radiohead don't get in then it really is a joke.

Ringo has arguably had a bigger and better solo career than Stevie- just not for a long time.

Ringo had (US CHARTS) 3 number ones and another in the top 5 To me that beats Stevie hands down.

It don't come easy #1
Photograph #1
You're Sixteen #1
The No No song #4
Backoff Boogaloo went to number 9.
All BIG solo hits for Ringo. He deserves it. Stevie's first two albums were good and had hits but she faded in the hit department after that. Talk to Me wasn't even written by her. BTW why does she never play that live? Because she didnt'
write it? Doesn't make sense.

Ringo had 8 top 10 US hits to Stevie's 4. I think he actually had 2 Number 1's (It Don't Come Easy was Number 4, not Number 1). However, Stevie's been more successful overall in terms of her albums, though Ringo has recorded a lot, lot more.

sorry. she really needs to fix this big time.
until then she's been tainted in my mind.
and it really feels like a death to me.

vote 1: Def Leppard.

His songs aren’t memorable and don’t even get played very much. Even with the #1 hits, his albums didn’t sale because he got played he was Ringo Star. Stevie destroyed him in album sales and influence.

He sucks and his albums have sold squat. He got played because he is Ringo Star and it was the 70s.

And Ringo didn’t write them and they are not played on classic radio very much.

To say he doesn't really deserve to get in? A BEATLE with all those top 10 hits? I hear them all the time. He is deserving.

Not as deserving as her. He didn't do it while he was in the beatles or write the songs. I think he only had 3 gold albums. whoopie - A real trailblazer.... Nicks is a culteral icon too and she hasn't lost her popularity.
