[From an article in which Vic Fuentes discusses things that happened while recording PTV's new album]

Alternative Press, March 21 2016, 9:00 AM EDTBy Ryan J. Downey

Concord has a small room [at The Village studio] that they permanently own. Everyday there were really well-known artists coming in. Stevie Nicks stopped by to do some vocals for something. Busta Rhymes, Ben Harper, Ziggy Marley, the Griswolds; when Snoop Dogg was there, they had to get fans and air out the whole building for, like, a day. [Laughs.] The staff was so cool and supportive. I got a lot of stuff done there. At some point they had somebody else [booked for my spot].

The Village Studio? Was Stevie possibly laying down vocals for the Mac album?

I was coming out of my gym tonight and there's a bar there. As I walked up the stairs Rooms On Fire was blasting out of the speakers as they were doing a music quiz. I thought I was imagining it because you don't hear Stevie's solo work very often at all. I so wanted to run in and shout "It's Stevie Nicks!!!"

[from an article about Dawn Coulter Cruttenden, a woman whose work is on display in the Savoy Hotel]

http://www.derrynow.com/news/derry-w...oy-hotel/85123

“I used to paint more landscapes, which were nice, but last year I did a series of fairy tale drawings, which I think were much more sincere.

“Those were spotted by the singer, Stevie Nicks’, make-up artist. She showed them to Stevie, who then bought everything I had, which was incredible, as I listen to her music while I’m working.”

It was through this that Dawn’s work came to the attention of the Savoy Hotel.

Ooh, thanks for the link. I can see that Stevie would totally love the "Finding Fairies" print.

Yes. And there's also something about that particular one that reminds me a bit of Chris's painting on the cover of Kiln House.

[from a Ben Hazlewood interview] Female First, UK by Daniel Falconer | 12 April 2016

Who would you love to work with on material in the future and why?

I would love to work with Stevie Nicks. I have always been a big fan of her music and style. She has a way of telling story that drives the emotion across in such a transparent and honest way.

[Four 60 Minutes Australian reporters staged a kidnapping and ended up in jail. This is from an article about one of them]

The Australian Business Review

TRACY GRIMSHAW THE AUSTRALIAN APRIL 18, 2016 12:00AM

https://photographyisnotacrime.com/2...story-lebanon/

Everyone loves Tangles. Seriously. Laura says so. They walk into a room together and everyone gravitates to the big fella with the grin, who has a thousand stories, but wants to hear all about YOU.

On a 60 Minutes shoot with Fleetwood Mac a few years ago, Stevie Nicks — no pushover — was obviously a wee bit smitten. After the interview as the crew packed up she asked Tangles his favourite Fleetwood Mac song.

“Rhiannon” he said, no hesitation. So she sang it. Just for him. Poor girl’s only human.
