I took a morning walk down here in shorts and a tee and it's sunny and warm today with a high of 85. It's supposed to cool down overnight the next couple days so my AC will get a break. It's weird it being like this and it's almost December. I can't relate with the rest of you but I sure know what winter is like and I don't miss it one bit.

Let me also share my thanks that I've lived here and made it through hurricane season this summer with no hurricanes and it's over!!! (I think. They're still keeping an eye out the next few days) But videos like this scared the heck out of me before I moved here but I knew it was the price you paid to live here. I've never been in one but heard some horror stories.

Viv on my morning walk this morning around 8, I was just walking along looking down and saw something dart from the palmetto scrub about 100 ft away, and it was a bobcat getting ready to dart across the road and it saw me but paid no attention. It was trying to beat an oncoming car and did. It vanished into some bushes on the other side of the street. I didn't have my camera or phone or I would've snapped a pic. Speaking of raccoons, these are the critters we encounter everytime we picnic at the southern end of Lido Beach Park. And yes they're out in broad daylight and don't care. They come right up to you if you want them to.

Well they're just unpredictable once they move in. You would've been fine, they'll tell you days ahead whether it looks like your area's going to be hit with one or not and they follow their every move once a depression forms. I'm just glad I made it through my first year here without one. I live just a few minutes inland, I think I'd be more paranoid living right on the water, as beautiful and nice as that would be. I just feel safer being inland some and not having to take the brunt. That's what the barrier islands are for though naturally.

If you put on pants that don't fit you in the morning, by the end of the afternoon they usually fit nicely.

I am 6 credits short of having my Masters degree. No, I'm not bragging...cause you know what? I'm that person who dropped out with only 6 credits to go. It's been a year and a half since I decided to "take a semester off." I officially decided it's time to get off me ol' butt and GET 'ER DONE.
